  1. Okay. Time for a REAL update. As above photo, wheels and coilovers. got a bit frivolous with the card HSD Coilovers JR5's by Japan Racing 17" 8.5J ET35 Uniroyal Rainsport 3 XL's in 235/45/17 It's been a bit of a mad week actually. had last week off work so spent it chilling with the mrs while she was unsuspecting of what was hiding in the garage. taking delivery's while she was asleep. Thursday came around and took delivery of my coilovers (thank the lord ey @Shafzzz!) Had shaf turn up at mine fri morning ready for our furious mimms weekend. down to the garage in the 2 cars to drop all the bits off. had a phone call 2 hours later saying the lug nuts dont fit! he was right. the drive for the nuts was too big to go into the wheel. the spigot rings i ordered also didn't fit. ran down to the local 'epic accessories' in Richards IS200 and the woman there sorted me out with the correct spigot rings and a set of aluminium (cry) internal drive nuts. got back to the garage..... need spacers. the wheels were rubbing on the coilovers don't know how people run ridiculously wide wheels on these cars! so Shaf and Richard ran back down to epic to pick up a set of slip on 10mm spacers (eek!!) ~(thanks guys:)) ) car is now sitting almost perfectly after about 4 hours of height adjusting on Saturday before mimms. the drive is insanely better, feels so much more planted and have more confidence to take a corner at a normal speed. Such a fantastic weekend. stressful but fantastic. nice to spend a good few days with the lads since i last saw everyone back in August 14. nice to meet some of the civic 5 lot too. what happened with that dead bird @UnicyclingTom @Krzys ???? Hubcentric 15mm spacers on order for the front to replace those huge slip on spacers, new lug nuts that SHOULD fit, and also some coilvers covers by tegiwa. Sorry its been so long ladies ill try and keep up with the updates
  2. Had a few delivery's watch this space. look forward to seeing you all @ mimms on sunday
  3. Right then, its been a while since i did a proper update for you guys. actually had a free weekend! Last weekend i managed to get my trim all in and finished, quite happy with the results; This weekend i have manged to get the car on the drive and give it a coat of wax, (im a bit of a detail freak) just 1 though. have got 30th-3rd off work (the week before mimms ) so me and @sennz going to get the rotary polisher out get the cars polished up nicely ready for the show A few mates of mine have been raving about this new wax that has a filler compound in it, its called Fusso and comes all the way from Hong Kong (link below). im not normally a fan of solid waxes and normally prefer to use a liquid sealant opposed to a wax due to ease of use. but this wax oh my, it blew my brains out literally. it makes the car soooo deep and shiny and does a really good job of removing swirls, i'd recommend it to anyone. it has a solid structure but so soft to apply its almost like its liquid. i wasn't leaving it on for long due to the heat (what is hot weather?) and it dried really quickly so had to be fast to buff it off. http://nipponshine.com/shop/body-sealant/879/ before â–² After â–¼ beforeâ–¼ after â–¼ I got an exhaust video for you but its not great and doesn't really do it justice, its quiet but nice so when i rapidly speed up to 30, i get a nice noise but its mostly engine noise and flutter Hopefully have a few bits going on with the car in the next few weeks
  4. Okay i best update this.. I'm not going to say what happened with the stereo lets just say i'm extremely embarrassed by it but all is sorted now! i have video while rolling Also, was really down on power and had extremely squeaky breaks, so had it booked in at the garage for a set of new pads all round (only pagid OEM ones, no reason for performance ones as of yet) had those all fitted and my sticky caliper free'd up so had all my 'ponies' to use breaks are really really squeaky now due to bedding in aaaand that's it. Once again.. will try and get my dash finished this weekend and the zorst video you're all wanting Over and out
  5. Today did not go well. that is all i am saying. i hate car electrics.
  6. well worth it was down from £200 to £100 delivered, couldn't moan about it at all, it was a bit too small for the halfords tool trays for the professional kits so i just used a Dremel on them to make them fit
  7. Alright guys! Sooo its been a while.. 2 weeks! Alot but not alot has happened.. me and dad have been clearing out the garage each sunday recently.. only took 7 cars full of cr*p down the tip! Have not done anything with the car, so no i dont even have a video of my exhaust for you yet, sorry The garage is looking a million dollars compared to how it was before.. got a load of racking up and got myself a big toolbox for all my tools! So the garage is almost finished finally. will be nice to be actually walk through it and find tools i need. Went down to Saddington reservoir in the countryside today with the guy that bought my EJ6, took some awesome photos of the car and he should be sending them my way within the next few days, some i took with my G-S4; ^^ Silvia got jealous I can only apologize for the lack of updates. Work has been busy (too busy..) hopefully next weekend can start doing some bits on it.. like the dash and video on the headunit
  8. Exhaust fitted on thursday! sounds so sick!!@@!@!
  9. wow such posts many replies; Funny you mention the dash, its ready to go on! Really happy with the outcome for a rookie job tbh. should look quite nice tbh! wont be fitted until i sort the video out on my head unit, would be a shame to scratch it! You know my plans boi, you know my plans. As for the Herald, its not been started in 4 years, although is a FABULOUS car i'd love to drive it. really hoping to persuade dad to get it running again in the next few years as its worth a bit of money now compared to what was paid for it! clearing out the garage next weekend hopefully get some racking up in there and finally get my wheelie toolbox ive always wanted!
  10. Soooo its been a while since i've posted an update, snow is almost all gone now, getting on with the car quite well, finding it very enjoyable boosting around, love the sound!! My 3" system was delivered! went to get it fitten on saturday.. aaaand couldnt. due to my vast inexperience in cars, didnt have any bolts gaskets and was a clamp short... fail. so the garage have got the bits on order for me and hopefully have it fitted mid this week Picked this up this week too! Not a super expensive one, Sony XAV-65, was about 180quid, but it does everything i'd want it to do. still need to sort out the parking break cable so i can view videos on it, but finally am rid of that vile grey 10 disk changer and have USB back also, from china my signature tow hook toy; Planning to clear the garage out next weekend to make space for more stock items (like my rear seats ) ,
  11. @Shafzzz It's really nice to drive, its got alot of body roll in it though, and its really really big! have had the rear out a little bit (by accident). handing wise as of now the DC2 has it all day long, (partly because im driving it like a granny due to the weather (yeah.. day after i start driving RWD for the first time it snows...)) the power in it is amazing though its the fastest car ive driven by what feels like a LONG shot, am really happy with the car as it is now but cannot wait to stiffen the chassis a bit though so it feels a bit more planted (or maybe im missing the point of RWD...)
  12. You're such a baller man! What do you do for a living? I wish i was like you. :PPPP hope you stop encountering problems after the rad, be nice to see your ep with some mods on it for mimmsss ))
  13. Oh, and also have a 3" exhaust on order!!@!@!
  14. Soooo after looking forward to this weekend all week we finally got everything finished The headlights are all back in, the front mount is finally finished and bumper is all back on http://youtu.be/52oswjYoASo Also fitted the Blitz fliter, hopefully on the road next weekend!!!
