I use 5w30 and never had a problem with it but i only use it
because my work have good oil in stock and i get it for £1 a
litre
-
I was wondering that aswell!
Is it the exact same fitment?
-
Nitromors or similar let that do the work. Clean it all down. light sand then start painting. Ya don't wanna be getting bits of paint and grit from heavy sanding stuck in the baffle in the cover.
So just really swim in paint thinner rub that in then sand it down and fingers crossed everything goes to plan!

i used some white high temp paint for mine as a base coat, then painted on top, i also used lacquer, but to be honest it should be ok using normal paint as i know a few people have used normal paint and its been fine
What so instead of primer used a high temp base coat?
Yeah I've accidently used used normal wrinkle paint and not high temp. (Think I need glassss)
but so far so good. It's held up fine.
Haha Well sounds good to me since I cant find any decent high temp dark grey paint.
Thanks lads anymore tips for the process of painting would be helpful!

Im not sure where to post this but here goes I am painting the good old
rocker cover gun metal/ metallic dark grey with cadbury purple letters

I have the purple paint already.
should I have to laquer it after paint and will that have to be heat
resistant aswell to prevent peel?
Cheers!

I don't like the T1R on the EP3, might be because they're bigger than the rest of you use (205/45/R17).
The Accord has perished P6000's on the front, actually work quite well!
But do they have sharks on the side wall?
Yeah i totally agree that all tyres are really a preference until its comes to race tyes
it really only depends on what kind of driving you do or what kind of driver you are
when it comes down to it.
I just prefer Uniroyals for the grip in the rain it seems not many tyres can provide a
hole amount of grip in the rain or winter but I feel more confident on relying on my
Uniroyals.

I love khumo!
I've run ecsta sport on our standard wheels and the mx5 we used to have.
Currently running ecsta le sports on my 17s. Love them.
Interesting I've not seen many people running on ecsta sports but sound pretty good!
Well I can only compare uniroyals to the pirelli p6000 i had on my mb2 which i thought
werent that impressive for the price I paid for them :/

Just had a quick look on that link, my toyo proxes are cheaper on there than i buy from ebay
Will be using them from now on
Yeah a brilliant site i reckon even the delivery is really quick!

Sharks you say? Sold!
Best budget tyre and I kid you not, Ling Long Greenmax! £30 a corner fitted on the OEM wheels and actually gave alright wet grip, rated the same as Avon's but don't actually believe it would be up to the same standard somehow!
Best all round tyre I've used so far is a Goodyear Eage F1 Astmetric 2, love them!
Yes Sharks! even on the tread
Well I've heard of ling longs and I've not heard anything bad about them!
My UniRoyals were only £33 each and i fitted them

Sounds crackin! Are the uniroyals good in the dry though?
They grip really well I find in both weathers but I have never really tried proxes or continentals on a proper run so
i dont believe i have a huge opinion on comparison
But im yet to slide out with them and they grip perfect when putting the power to ground
What tyres do you run?

You may have seen on another topic but I have just bought a set of
UniRoyal RainSport 3's and think they are amazing tyres especially in
the wet roads of Scotland
Has Anyone had a good experience with a certain type of tyre?
The UniRoyal's are grip A rated but F i think on fuel (who cares?)
P.S - UniRoyal's have a added bonus they have sharks on the side

Well we all know how expensive a good set of tyres can be even for just 15" wheels
I've been using this website for quite a while and have had no hassle with them before
and they are definitely cheaper than most places I've searched through so hope it
helps you lot aswell
I recently just bought a set of UniRoyal RainSport 3's which are amazing tyres
when driving through the wet and dry days but really I can notice a huge difference in
the wet!
If anyone has a better website fire ahead im always up for a deal!

Hey all,
Under where my window is on the exterior there is rust and the plastic coating
is pealing off so its becoming really noticeable
Does anyone know where to get new ones or is the only way to paint them?
