Front Drop Links

Maybe its just L shaped ones on the MB6's then? I just fitted them to my mates car on saturday, the ones i just bought. He came round said his car made a loud bang then it felt weird to drive. Just ripped off the wheel and this is what i seen!

Just at that very moment the postie delivered the drop links i bought of off ep82! Unbelievable timing really!

Can easily do a "how to" for ya lad. Honestly is easy just be prepared for swearing when the nuts are seized solid. A big hammer was required on saturday when i did my mates.

Well I am a bit annoyed as eurocar parts have delivered the wrong one it seems to be the L shape even though its states its an aerodeck one on the site.

Any ideas on where to get the straight ones from ?? for my car.

Well here is a picture , nothing else was in the box. Where are the other rubber bush bits ??.

Is this acutally the right piece , this is new to me but the end actually waggles around just like a ball joint. Is this supposed to happen ??

Yep, its ment to move around, its like a ball and socket joint. The rubber bushes go on the shaft on either side of the lower arm, it will be more obvious when you look at yours bud!!

Sooooo , I ordered the proper ones of the ebay link . Hurray they are the right ones. Had them fitting with some genuine honda front pads - crikey they are dear !!- to try and solve the knocking problem I descibed in an earlier thread I started. Anyway after an interesting drive with mechanic to try and distinguish noise he took car away for a good look. (Sometimes you get really sensitive to knocks and creaks and then another person can hardly hear them !!).

Turns out in the end that my rear caliper pins on one side had a little play on them and were clicking/clunking and a slider pin with moves when the brake pedal is depressed is also loose and rattling about. Both things were reset with copious amounts of copper grease and voila no noise anymore !!. Woohoo , pads were dear but worth it I think, at least I know they fit well anyway.

Soo , if anyone has wierd knocking/clunking at the front and all suspension seems tight and true then check out this pin thing !!.
