prezes
dude. cool bar. can i ask for a close up pic of the end where it connects? i just want to see how much cutting is involved. also can you get those bolts? if so then can you tell me how much did it all cost (bar+bolts) I want 1 Thanks mate. I'm very happy with how it worked out in the end. It cost me an arm and a leg though... I shall take a picture for you later on today although I've not done a very good job with cutting through the trim... I've just cut a big chunk off But it can be done nicely as Blames-Vti done and as far as I remember trin2 thread shows as well. I have two bolts left as I ordered 2 of each just in case THe bar you'd need to order from states and it cost me about £40. But I've paid a £100 for the bolts It would worked out cheaper with a group buy of 10 let's say. Michael

ep82
also did you noticed any difference in handling?
prezes
I know it's crazy but you can't get those bolts from any retailer. The thread is special and one bolt is right handed and other left. THey'll do it on a hourly basis. £30 / hour - hour to set up a machine, about an our to get it done. As said would work out much cheaper when ordered 10 or so. As for handling I feel quite a lot of difference. I couldn't push it really hard as roads are wet at the moment but you can feel it when turning quickly. Back is not flexing so much.

wezza9
Cool looking Mc2 good job over the bolts on the end of the c pillar why did you change them i have the c pillar brace ( not fitted yet ) did you think of trying rose joints in the end i had a strut brace for my Mi16 405 which had them in the end i have had them of this seller for other project also meet him at autosport show http://stores.ebay.co.uk/McGill-Motorsports
prezes
I needed to change them as there's no brace for MC2. The golf GTi one that I got - which does fit the MB6 is not long enough. I was looking for a way to get around it and to maintain the usability of the brace. And it was much easier to sort it in a local company then send bits out then find that something was not the right size and send it back off.THe main thing is that the bolt have some crazy thread so, correct me if I'm wrong, it wouldn't be so easy to get a rose joint done for it.
