johngreen537
I had the same problem on an EK mate. Turned out to be a misfire caused by a dodgey HT / ignition lead.I'd start by changing the ignition leads, then may be worth looking at the distributer rotor arm. E=MC2
guys from car service told me that it might be a crank position sensor
johngreen537
It's posible mate, but i'd have thought an ECL would appear for a CPS issue...I'd start with the simple stuff, like HT leads. Even if it's not the cause of the issue, it's a cheap part to replace!

bepilot
same problem I had, but I changed the whole distributor, an ebay one 110eu delivred. My civic is a daily driver and I didn't want to hassle to change this, then this and finally still have the problemnormally you should also change rotor if you did the cap at the same time... so maybe try at least the rotor if you don't want to buy a full distributor...
