When To Change Cambelt..?

60,000 or every 5 years i think it states. Should say in the Handbook what the service intervals are and what parts should be changed!

Can never be done too son though,

Just give it the big 60k service asap.

New cambelt, tensioner, New waterpump.

Oil filter.

Air filter.

Fuel filter.

Pollen filter.

Spark plugs.

Oil change, clutch fluid change, brake fluid change, gearbox fluid change.

Will be worth doing especially as yours is such low mileage, Parts are cheap enough about £200 pattern parts or £300 ish genuine Honda plus fitting. Will lead to another 55k of carefree motoring except the regular oil/filter changes every 6,000 miles.

Nah, we never change the tensioner mate, or the water pump. They never go wrong. They do on the 'F18' and 'F20' engines fitted to accords, but our civic 'D' and 'B' engines tend to be fine.

And cambelts should be changed at either 60,000 or 72,000 miles depending on when your car was registered. Pre July 1998, its 60,000 miles, post July 1998, its 72,000.

Hope this helps! :ugeek:

Worth doing both for piece of mind though!

Most cambelt kits come with the koyo tensioner anyway..

I think honda offer the honda happiness deal so its £200 for cambelt etc replacement all inclusive..
