prezes
you wouldn't notice a difference. How often do you go with top speed?
johngreen537
X2, plus the 4th & 5th Ratio's are very similar to S9B box. The Y21 is only 3-4mph off the gearing of the S9B too, so even that difference is negligable!
manaz
ok.. would there be any difference in the amount of time it takes to reach top speed? cheers for the reply guys.
johngreen537
Y21 would get there quicker due to final drive being lower!
shamz
S80 box highly recommended. I have the 96 spec with 4.4 final drive. Changed the car totally. Get rid of the rubbish s9b box.
KiNK43
Yeah I agree. Im loving the new box. Makes the car feel soooo much lighter I think. Maybe lighter flywheel contributes to that too though.
cal
S80 box highly recommended. I have the 96 spec with 4.4 final drive. Changed the car totally. Get rid of the rubbish s9b box.moving to a 4.4FD box doesnt really do it for me. 4.7fd is the box to have if you can stretch the cash. wouldnt spend the cash on a 4.4fd one
shamz
I think it was worth it. Had the choice of both and a lot said to go for the 4.4. Nevertheless changed the way it drives completely. Anything beats the gay s9b box.
KiNK43
yeah i can imagine the 4.7 might be a little too much unless you constantly doin 1/4 miles or track days or something.even the 4.4 you feel like you revving loads all the time... Petrol prices eeeeek
shamz
Tell me about it mate lol. Went and filled up last night, I left it to the last drop only because I wasn't looking forward to pay that much for fuel. Spent £66. I remember few years ago £45 use to do.
