uzy Posted September 6, 2009 Author Share Posted September 6, 2009 my cuzz bought himslef a vti-s the other day. . . so i decided to see how low my car actually is. i used the method were you measure the centre of the wheel to the arch. on the standard vti-s has 16 inch, and mine has 11 inch. i lost 5 inch in ride height lol. thats works out to be 130mm!!! and that is thecar raised from what it was before! i think the hieght when it was on the 1st day must have been anywere between 150 - 160mm.now thats low!!!! uzy Posted September 8, 2009 Author Share Posted September 8, 2009 right peoples! i got a little annouyed with my areil being too big. so i done what any one would do witha little spare time. . . i cut it down to size firstly i had to take it off by wrapping a cloth round the areil and using some plyers to twist it off( it was on reall tight)once it was off i used plyers to chop it down to the required size. NOTE if you cut it too much you either live with it or get a new one. i cut it and then cut it agian. once happy with the size(make sure its 3-5 mm longer than wanted, as the little rubbery bit will make it appear smaller.) remove the rubbery but off the top half of the areil( pain in the a$$) put it over the cut end. and you will have a clean finish.and then this is what it looks like on the car hay presto! you have a bee sting areil for no monies!! i also got a little bored and took some photos. take a lookon its a$$interior shotthe reason i think i got pulled the height compared to a touch up paint thingy front end clearancecamber anyone?as for you eagle eye veiwers, yes it is another vti-s Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
uzy Posted September 8, 2009 Author Share Posted September 8, 2009 . . . . i had to contiue my post lol too long there is my cuzz's vti-s which he bought last week.i had to get it out the garage and get a photo shoot.now a back end shot. mine looks so dam wide!b18c4's on show!what £5 bulbs can do lolcamber compared! and hieght stock height compared on the paint touch up thingy bonnet catch was open on this shot this is when my other cuzz turned up with his accord. so i had to take a shotlet me knw what you guys think. and my car is sitting at 130mm from stock height!
