Anyone elses door trim like this.......?

the cause for this is weather and using the wrong car shampoo to wash the car ( i am not saying you have done it ryan :-> )

the wrong shampoo like washing up liquid drys out the rubbers and moldings.

what i would do is take them off and spray them, if your flush buy new ones its a small detail so i don't worry ( yet!!! )

I used autoglym shampoo, im pretty sure that wouldnt cause any problems but glad to hear its not just me though lol

So, sand them down, spray with matt black paint and cover with laqure?

Are they easy to remove?

i broke 3 of mine taking them off :o:o:o:o

The very late MB/MC's look to have a revised version of these trims as do some of the later Rover 45's & MG ZS's but this could be as they are later production cars and havnt suffered the same amount of weather damage ? I could be completley wrong but they do seem to have better rubber mouldings on these later cars. Do you have any pictures of yours knight and whats the best way to remove them ?
