Opinions wanted on engine build

I'm getting ready to start my engine build now. What i've got is a B16A JDM SiR EG motor and my MB6 B18C4.

The original idea was to swap the C4 head and pistons for the B16A ones, but having done quite a lot of reading it turns out the C4 head actually gives more compression.

Should I stick with the C4 head and just whack the higher comp pistons in? I've read that the C4 doesn't actually flow noticably worse for it to be noticeable.

Anyone know if the B16A cams are much better than the C4 ones?

I do know that the B16A has a crisper VTEC crossover, even compared to B16A2 motors, but how much of that is ECU I'm not sure. Saying that - I've got a P30 ECU waiting to be socketed anyway. Oh, and a Y21, not sure if it's LSD or or not yet though.

Opinions welcome!

I've already replaced the ex mani with a 4-1, but thanks anyway ;-)

The only thing stopping me just popping it all in there is that a complete B16A is at least worth a bit of money, and if the gains I'd get from putting all that work in aren't noticeable then I don't see the point. But if there's someone out there with Poor Man's Type R experience I'd love to hear from them!

c4 head is better than the 1600a for the rpm/CC it is designed for,it has a better angle for intake mid to high rpm HP and TORQUE,it has a better chamber, The A cams will i think lower the compression squensh :o ,the pistons raise comp 0.4 dont bother ,will need to balance crank also for this  put itr cams and spring and p28 have it remapped,if possable clean the ports or mild porting :o Nice 8-) s80 box or a y21/s4c have the best affordable induction and exhaust set up and tune correctly lighten car light wheels and loose the seats 1st thing is sort out handling and braking.. as its first port of call ;)

 or just charge it

You da man noodels!

Thought so. Have got LSD Y21 already, just not fitted, as well as P30 waiting to be socketed.

Intake manifold wise, the B16A has what looks to me like an ITR or ITR rep - what your thoughts on this worth swapping or is the loss in torque not worth the gain up top? I do need high rpm power though as that's where it'll spend most of it's life over here.
