Cynabal
Ok i removed my washer jets and fitted jazz mist ones, its much better but would still like more pressure, any way to get more pressure in the system?
beastgtir
the blowing an airline thru the pipework to clear out the gunk in them.
Didjeridave
wider piping will help too. You'll likely have quite a unique mod then...!
civicturbo79
i would go for a new pump , you would need smaller pipe to increase the pressure . Rich.
Didjeridave
Surely with the same pump smaller piping will give higher particle velocity, but more pressure loss per unit length? The same pump would produce a higher pressure at the nozzle with wider piping, the nozzle jet size will then determine the particle velocity of fluid exiting the nozzle. Cynabal
I was looking at new pump but thought I'd try other avenues first, ill try just cleaning everything.
hickster
Portable 12v jetwash wired in to the system
Didjeridave
A bigger pump will certainly give higher volume velocity (i.e. flow/lph) & thus increase pressure at the end of the pipe/nozzle input, but it may well be cheaper to widen the piping & you may see satisfactory improvement without having to engineer in a different pump. For a spray system like this, you ideally don't want any restriction until the nozzle, so piping needs to be as wide and as short as possible to reduce pressure losses - 6mm OD piping is pretty restrictive; try blowing down a length of a few meters & you may appreciate this! mark.b
What did you have to modify to get the new jets to fit into the bonnet or did they just clip in,did you get from honda, how much were they do you have a part number
