Hi folks!

I have used the search facility and have been reading all

the info regarding p30, skunk 2 inlets and re maps. Some

of u are getting good bhp with simple mods!

I have just bought a vti-s with 65,000 miles. Already fitted

4 2 1 manifold, de cat and it already had a rear sports box

and short air filter kit.

I thought bout skunk 2 inlet but cost of everything is steap!

Would a remap be worth it or should i have decent gains

with what ive done? Im looking to get around 190bhp to

be happy!!

Whats ur thoughts please?

Ta

Alastair

Hi pal, i have AEBS intake manifold and 5zigen 4-2-1 manifold with ITR intake box/pipe and toyo sports exhaust. had it remapped and i got 185bhp. cost per bhp was very expensive. theres a lot of torque from these motors.

at 1st i wasnt all too happy with the mapping service i received so try and stay local so any nitty grittys are easily ironed out in future. vtec is now engaged at 4500rpm.

despite the mapping service it pulls well when you can get the power down due to torque.

personally i would just go for basic bolt on mods and then re-map.....it will still pull away..

invest in some good rubber and your off 1"£££$££"!

Hi!

I understand that these things are costly, just wanted the vibe as to get a remap or not!

I will contact a scottsh re-map company soon and arrange things, think remap would probably be my best bet as only looking to have a kind of 'sleeper' that will surprise people and handy for overtaking safely..... :D

I would be happy with 185bhp!

Decent tyres are on the menu...once i decide if i want to sell the team dynamic alloys (205/40/17) that came with it or go with 215/50/16 alloys!

Appreciate the reply!
