lets talk car alarms

An alarm is only as good as the person who installed it.

My 650mk2 has been wriggled with problems but its because the fitted (chap called ken from essex, used to run an install business but has given it up now) was an incompetent fool and although knew what he was doing didnt give two s**ts about my car.

Don't DIY the alarm imo, get a pro to do it. They are very complex and are not colour coded so you really have to know what you are doing. Especially a cat 1 like the 650mk2 or the AI606

Price wise, dont pay anything less than £350-£400 for it with fitting. Anything less and they will be cutting corners. Minimum installation time should be around 4hrs

Agree with Ryan, I definitely wouldn't diy an alarm like the ai606 get a pro on it but fitted prices seem to be around £200 - £250 atm. :)

Try and save money elsewhere.
