Dave
Nice one mate! You have to be careful when pushing the rubber/metal strips on the door panels though as they are only held on by tiny bits of metal, folded over into an arrow shape into the door card. See if your front door windows are steamed up on the inside now, does the rubber seal take the condenstion off the window when you put the indow down? If so, i'm gonna try this as thats one thing that bugs me about the m's!, the fact the rubber doesnt clear the windows! Didnt even do it when the cars were new! weetec
as the glass is curved, the glass will make contact with the strip on the down travel half way leaving the bottom half misted. you can put it down to design error but removing the door card and pressing the inside metal skin of the door against the glass, then re-fitting the card carefully helps to compress the strip on the door-card against the glass. its one of them mate, six of one and half a dozen of the other. hope this helps.
