Exhaust size 2.25" or 2.5"

I bought me a buddy club exhaust, came off an integra, I thought it was 2.5" pipe but turns out it's 2.25 pipe. I got a jdm itr manifold with a 2.5" collector and a 2.5" decat pipe. I'm aiming for 200bhp. Does any1 know if I have made a mistake with the 2.25" exhaust? Should I go with a 2.5" exhaust? The integra owner said it was a damn good system snd helped a lot. what should i do. Help please!

As far as i know that kind of combo will work just fine, if not perfectly. I decided on a diameterwise similar setup after quite a lot of research. Planning to purchase the missing parts and install it this summer, also hoping to hit one day the 200bhp mark.

Cheers dexter, was a bit worried if I just screwed it up. I will be posting the results after I get it all done and back on the dyno for a remap on my build thread so make sure you keep a look. I'm hoping this 200bhp isn't to hard to reach. Good luck with sorting out the other parts

should be ok man. from research i did when choosing exhaust. 2.25 is best all round for torque and gain a few up top.

2.5 may make more top end but loose torque lower in the rev range.

so i think youve done right.

Yea been searching the web and it shouldn't make a big difference, but figures will tell! Worst case scenario il just sell it and get a 2.5" system. But the guy who I got it from, he had a ukdm integra dc2 with this exhaust and he's running 0-60 in 6 1/2 seconds easily. So if it works good on the integra, should work good on mine, well that's the theory anyway.

And one more thing, this buddy club spec 2 exhaust, it's damn freaking loud yea, I haven't fitted it yet but was thinking, should I get a bigger high flow silencer put in the middle section just to make it a bit more liveable with??

At the moment i've got stock exhaust without the mid silencer, and the sounds are quite nice, especially with a intake kit. Quiet when cruising but baaaaaaaa! when vtecin' it. It's a bit loud on the freeway, though. But i'll definately be putting in a proper high flow mid silencer in when installing the new exhaust + magnaflow back box, it'll be murder otherwise! But i guess it all goes down to how race you wanna be ;) Also true that the resale value will go down if you chop the buddy club up. Maybe try it first without the mid silencer? And post a video here

So my exhaust is really too loud. How to make it quiet? Do I put a back box on?? Or do I put a big centre section silencer in?? I need help!

It'd be a shame to butcher the spec 2 but I think backbox is the only way. I say that because i had a box made specially that is about the size of large midbox. And all it did was get rid of the rasp and make sound deeper. Still ridiculously loud!!
