Tried reading fault codes, eml was just slowly flashing in no other pattern

Sprayed all vac lines in wd40 and there was no change in engine tone

Got the battery disconnected at the moment so will see if that helps

Right I reset the ecu, however the engine would not start without touching the throttle pedal

When started it was idling like this...

after a drive around idle is better, however its all over the place, sometimes at 1200, others at 300 to almost stalling

Eml has gone out though :)

Sounds again like vac leak. Or iacv isn't doing its job. I experienced same symptoms after my engine sat for months. And iacv was sticking. I opened up bypass screw on throttle temporarily to get it to idle without throttle until I got working iacv

Think it's defo the iacv, it was idling at neirly 2k just before there and I tapped the iacv with the back of a screwdriver and immediately the idle returned to normal, and when I blipped the throte was idling at 300, tapped again and it went up to 750

Eric the car guy is awesome for that tip :)
