Poor idle and eml

Right, getting slightly fed up of this car at the moment, a new problem has presented itself

Drove to my mums on Monday, all good running perfect, put it in the garage and has been there until tonight

Started it up, was idling a little higher than normal at 2k so I thought, ok it's on choke

Driving alone engine gets up to temp however idle is now bouncing between 1-2k

Gets it on the drive and idle is still bouncing away like a goodun

Started up an hour later, idle is now terrible, all over the place with cutting out now thrown in, and now accompanied by the engine management light

I did unplug the sensor on the intake pipe while it was running so don't know if that had caused the eml?

Any help would be great as I'm now tearing my hair out with it:(

Thanks in advance

That's what crossed my mind as I have faffed with the intake when I fitted then removed the induction kit, is there anywhere else to check?

Would unplugging the air temp sensor when the engine was running put the light on?

Vac leak is a good shout. Have you checked your code yet?

Hopefully iat if you unplugged it.

There's a number of little vac Lines to check around the intake. Fuel regulator, charcoal canister system which goes to the throttle body. The biggun that goes to brake master cylinder.

Can spray wd40 around see if any change heard in engine then you found a leak.

No haven't checked for a code yet, just on pulling myself together to go and have a fiddle :)

I will check all those areas cheers

I saw the diagnostic plug the other day when I removed the glovebox to fit the stereo
