ramy Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 Had new rear brake pads fitted few month back and ever since ive got a nasty knocking sound at rear when going over bumps , if i slightly apply hand brake the knocking goes ,,, had all rear bushes checked and all fine i am suspecting the brakes had pads te fitted and greased but knocking still there , does anyone have any idea asit is driving me mad to the point i want to sell the car :'( , any help and advice muchly appreciated thanks ramy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Ooooor the brake pads are a little too small and there rattling about.It's quite common that aftermarket pads don't fit well. marko Posted October 25, 2013 Share Posted October 25, 2013 Does your handbrake work correctly mine started this noise in one side where I have a stuck caliper it bangs nothing has fell off yet so I'm not to worried about it just yet :/ I think it's got somthing to do with the handbrake mech being freed up and somthing bashing around in that area?
