Too good to be true?

Just been looking on the trader at EP3's, that's my other choice if I don't end up with a Stagea!

Though I'm leaning towards an EP3 because there's plenty of mods and easier to maintain, plus I would like to have some fun and have a dab at track time!

Anyway I digress! I have come across several Type R's all at one dealership, as if I needed spoiling for choice!

Obviously any car I do purchase I'll do the relevant checks myself, HPi, mileage etc. Just a bit convenient that this one place has five EP3's with what I would consider below average down to silly low mileage!

Plus I read this article this morning which fills me with confidence....but it's a Nottingham based person rather than High Wycombe where this garage is!

Other than Tom saying he can keep up with EP3's I know these are good base cars! With the ideas I have in mind I don't think Tom would be keeping up with it, though saying that I reckon I could shake him in a standard one with some good driving ;)

They all look quite nice and as you say a couple with ridiculously low miles but seem a bit pricey my mate bought an immaculate 54 plate NHB for £6800 with reasonably low miles 5yrs ago.

For that money I'd much rather get a DC2 or

Get a deck and turbo it for the same money. :)

Yeah there's some for about the £3k mark which I'd be happy enough with!

The thing with DC2's is I like them, but not enough to own one, the famous red Recaro's and my "figure" don't get along so there's no point in me compromising my comfort.

Nah if I'm going that route I'll get a Stagea!

Keep bouncing between a Stagea and EP3 and even looked at some Merc's online last night......dafuq!?

If it was a skyline or an ep its a no brainer. But it's the boot that is skewing it!

The fact I have little use of such a big boot is the reason I can even consider a Stagea vs anything smaller than it!

Can get an Audi S4 with the V8 for around the price of importing a Stagea!

Stagea's are cheap as chips to buy. Different story running them. Expect -20mpg unless you're doing a lot of motorway miles. Then if you're lucky you might get 25mpg  In comparison my (admittedly pretty basic) Aerodeck does 32mpg and costs me half as much in fuel!

Then there's the 'Skyline tax'. You'll pick one up for half the price of a Skyline, but you still pay Skyline prices for parts.

Different kettle of fish to a civic I reckon. Great car though. Loved mine. Give me a shout if you have any questions about them.

What about all that dogging and prostitute murdering you get up to?? ;)

I thought the recaros in the DC2 and EP3 were pretty similar.

You'd be surprised, the EP3 is a lot more "Fat friendly"!

I think the EP seats are wider!

I have a mate with a chain saw I can borrow if people don't fit in the boot properly!

I find that way a bit messy though. ;)

Yeah but better than an arm hanging out the car, that seems to draw attention for some reason :? shrug.gif1

Mother had to pinch the Accord this morning for work so got to see it drive by whilst I was walking to work! Pop pop pop haha!

Found myself looking at Focus ST's this morning! The ST2 to be specific!
