vtec2011
This is not on my car but I thought I can ask for help on here! I went to replace front disc and pads on my sister in laws Renault Megane Scenic. I started undoing the bolts and the 1st one snapped! I know I can get away with 3 bolts on a 4 bolt hub to drive to the nearest garage. I went to undo the 2nd one and now that snapped SH*T! The 2 remaining bolts are right next to each other and wondering it its safe enough to get it to the nearest garage which is 3 miles away. What are your thoughts? Is there any other way to help the wheel to stay on? Many thanks guys!
simpo
No no no. Don't drive it the wheel will end up coming off . My mate did it and it came off. Anyway wow never seen that b4 wheel nut bolts snapping trying to take them off .
vtec2011
My sister in law said she had new front tyres recently fitted and said an apprentice was tightening the wheels with a impact gun for ages! But still, I never known wheel bolts to snap! So I got no choice but to get another hub? Looks like shes going to have a couple days off work
vtec2011
I said to her "If this was a Honda, this bolt wouldn't snap!"
