aerodeckcrewser
To add I removed mine with some chopsticks Seriously don't use iridiums and just take off your dizzy cap and swop its a simple job. Have a look on the inside and compare your old with the new one and you will see how bad its worn down struggling to make contacts you will probably notice your car running smoother and powerful immediatly
NIKH25
I change the dizzy cap when i change the spark plugs every year. Cheap enough I use a blue print one £9 part or a £195 dizzy when it goes for not changing the cap. And never use iridium spark plugs Hondas hate them and all high rev cars do. there crap I had two snap on me lucky they didn't damage my pistons. I used the standard ngk with no problems. Interesting, I've not heard that before, bit worried now.
aerodeckcrewser
Yeah My last Honda dizzy went on me due to the cap being that bad it was struggling to make contact. it over heated and shredded the coil in the dizzy like wire wool it was all in my dizzy cap when I took it off. New dizzys are not fun prices to buy new And regular cap changes stops this from happening, service part . And if you were taking about the iridiums They are way too cold for N//A engines and are made like this to avoid detonation on turbo engines

Krzys
Never knew about changing the cap regularly, every day is a school day! How often do you change it and the plugs?
Grant
Going back up a little, went to have a look at my dizzy, I'm not being silly, the bottom bolt is the same as the top two as well isn't it?? Seems the bottom one may have been snapped off. This might be my rattle ....
