Better and more conductive earth, larger the electron flow, bigger the spark, better the bang.

More GGs.

That's the theory anyhow.

And given that even the youngest of our cars is 14ish years old the earth may not be as good as it once was when the old people had them.

Would actually feel the difference??

Renewing your earthing cables can only be a good thing as Tom says these cars are at least 14yrs old now and the cables and connections can deteriorate.

 

I wouldn't bother buying a kit though, just get a reel of 4 gauge earthing cable cut the sizes you need and crimp the connectors on. :)

Ok I get the reasonings. Yeah that sounds like a better option I think.

Well yes true. Obv if you have an issue prior to doing it.

 

There could be issues that aren't obvious though, such as lights not as bright as they could be, poor starting etc.

Fair point. Do prefer your idea of just getting cable though.
