pjrzn
Hi guys I am planning to change/paint my rocker cover and I've never done it before and I know it is pretty straight forward. I have an idea on how to do it but anything that I need to know before doing it? Can I use the gasket maker?Cause I am worried that I f**k this up and end up ruining my engineThanks in advance
NIKH25
Gasket maker? Just slap a new gasket on when you put the fresh rocker on. Are you buying a spare to work with?

pjrzn
Yeah gasket maker it's in a tube thing insteaf of a made gasket you apply a liquidish around the sealing area and it expands once heated
Krzys
Personally unless your current gasket leaks or falls apart I would reuse it! Just clean it up and apply a bit of sealant to it as from factory.

pjrzn
so just apply this around the edges right?
NIKH25
so just apply this around the edges right? Yep, pop the gasket on the head, wipe sealant around where the gasket fits into the rocker, pop the rocker on and wipe off the excess.
