GB.
with suspension, I had my shocks(coilovers as you say in the car world) serviced ,re-gassed,new seals etc today by Curtis at AST UK. So I was thinking of doing a photo dairy tomorrow of fitting coilovers, would that be of interest to anyone? I know not all coilovers are the same but the basics are. What do you reckon could always stick it in the "How to section" if you think that would be better? jalesi2001
Yep, a brilliant idea bud, that would help out some members for sure!! Stick it up in the 'How To' section mate!!
GB.
Well I`ll start tomorrow weather permitting, I have all the parts ready (including anti roll linkages as well, but I think I`ll do that in a separate thread) How in depth should it be,every separate action including wheel removal or is that to much? jalesi2001
Entirely up to you mate, i guess the more in-depth the better bud as the members on here range from people who have no experience on working on cars, all the way to mechanics!! So as in-depth as you can be bothered to do bud, it will help members big time!!

GB.
A bit more modding now, I have fitted a K&N panel today, was toying with removing the resonator but is there any HP to be had or is it just all noise? Last thing I want is loss of HP or torque.I had wind deflectors on my EK4 and loved them so I`ve fitted some of them today aswell
jalesi2001
I think its just for noise mate.....im a tart so i removed mine!!
GB.
How have you left it,any trunking, ducting etc?
jalesi2001
I just removed the resenator box and piping, but left the airbox in. It creates a throatier noise when accelerating hard. I haven't fitted any piping or anything to it, its just sucking air from the N/S/F wheel arch area i guess. I plan to get a CIA kit for it in the next few months, so my filter will be down in the wheel arch anyway. I only took the resenator box out to make it sound a bit better, thats why i called myself a tart!!!
GB.
I had a cold air wheel arch kit on my EK4 until I came round a corner and hit deep water, then it sucked it up into my engine and hydrolocked it threw a rod
