Jamalam724
Hi guys, so i removed the 'sport' and civic badge from my boot but its left me with a civic outline, and a sticky line... Ive tried white spirit, petrol etc etc... but it just wont budge! what have you used?
feck_on_a_stick
Autosmart Tardis is the best thing I've ever used for removing sticky residue. I use it for removing tar spots on the paintwork but it'll work on any stubborn or sticky marks.
Krzys
Firstly I used tooth floss to remove the badge, then I went to hella frauids to get 'sticky stuff remover'. Then plenty of polish. You can still see a slight outline on mine, but it's not too bad. What he said, it's brilliant stuff!
Chandler
i used autoglym tar and adhesive remover, gotta work at it, but does work
wantone
I used brake cleaner and lots of elbow grease! Then polished it with a machine polisher to get rid of the little lines that were left
Didjeridave
Get yourself to a sign makers. There's one in Sheffield I went to a few years back, I forget the name, but really anywhere will probably be clued up on this. The stuff they swore by was from the states & smells distinctly of oranges (d-limonene probably); might not even be available in this country. I was taking the decals of a bike & it dissolved the adhesive brilliantly & did nothing to the paint or plastic. Like you, I'd tried loads of things before with limited success.Sadly, I only have about 50ml in the jam jar, but it still works at treat! Sorry I can't be more exact, but it hopefully might point you in a good direction.
