danbrown
So as per my intro post I found out my recently bought MB6 has worse rust than gambled on. The near side inner arch is holed through after a good going over, from about top centre to half way forwards towards the sill. The outers are solid with some light surface rust on the arch where those plastic covers were. Sills look good thankfully and the underside has been sealed, makes you wonder why they didn't do the arches too?! Anyway, having done some trawling on here and google it looks like the outers go more often, there's barely anything about the inners. Are the inners definitely a DIY job? I couldn't find any reference to replacement panels? Does anyone have any previous experience with either having this job done or with body shops in the Norwich area? It's always nice to know the good and bad ones and a rough idea of expected costs before I do some phoning around on Monday, hopefully they're not all on Christmas break!
