Grant
Ricciardo showed him up in his own pride and joy. The lack of aerodynamic help reduced him to average. Exactly that .. He was massively outshone by his younger counter part last season .. Drivier skill is definitely what is missing.I mean look who won last years race of champions. Back off Mr Hamilton you big nobber .. He had an excellent season. YES he had the best car (so did Roseburg), but he also had the worst luck (out of the top 3 teams) in terms of DNF's and mechanical issues falling him out of Qually or even the race.. I don't think the drivers are that much "underskilled" as theyre late 80's-90's counter parts, I just think it was a different bread of driver back then .. The sort that couldn't of dealt with the tech aspect of todays racing .. And I think only a select few from modern day f1 would be able to cope with the physical stresses of the old cars .. I still watch it, religiously, every week.. And i'll probably continue to do so. I think its heading in a good direction .. Esp to what it was 5-6 years ago where I completely lost interest as the majority of races were tail to tail traffic and nothing else! burbleboy
Couldn't agree more ^^^^^^^ The modern simulators help drivers cope with the modern F1 car....old Skool drivers would struggle to cope with all the adjustments they would have to do in-race. Personally, I think they should bring back manual shift and less tech.....but on the other hand....the tech stuff is being developed for modern road cars and the future. Ditch the tyre stuff and let them battle it out with DRS and skill. Bernie...if your reading this....DO IT!
