Weird question

This morning I jacked my car up to refit the decat and dropped it on to some axle stands. Once fitted I started the engine to check the exhaust for leaks but whilst I was under it I noticed the front wheel was turning. I checked that the car was in neutral and it was so I turned the engine off and started it again and sure enough the wheel started turning again. When I touched the wheel it stopped but when I let go it started again.

Now as far as I know when the car is in neutral, regardless of what position the clutch is in, there should be no connection between the engine and the wheels. I'm guessing there must be some other logical explanation to this.

Anyone got any ideas ?
