  1. did you get it from polished bliss mate?
  2. i have looked at that da too mate.seems good value and im sure the one thats double the price does exactly the same job! i get a funny head when i look at all their products too. i keep thinking i would like to try something different...but then i break out the good old meguiars and it still produces an excellent result every time, so whats the point in trying something new! the nxt gen shampoo is good, i dont use much of it in a full bucket of water, 1 or 2 cap fulls. doesnt make much suds, but leaves a good finish on the car (still gives a bit of beading when it rains after washing)
  3. no worries andrew. i have had plenty of practice removing side skirts from our rally car, and there is really good thread on here for removing the roof rails
  4. cheers james, i got into detailing more when i had my impreza, i would love a da machine to make life easier and to get the swirls out properly. all i used for the `deck was: Meguiars Next Gen car wash Meguiars Quick detailer and clay bar kit Meguiars 3 step Deep Crystal system: Step 1 Paint Cleaner Step 2 Polish Step 3 Carnauber Wax Meguiars Hot Wheels wheel cleaner Assorted Meguiars cloths and sponge applicators Stuff is brilliant and easy to use. would like to try some other products, have you checked out Polished Bliss? could spend a fortune on their site!!!!!! if you go on the site, check out there Ferrari 355 detail.....amazing!!!
  5. cheers wilkesy...its been a long time overdue tbh! just havent had the time to do it properly
  6. cheers fella. a very satifying job i must say..even tho you cant see it once everythings back on!
  7. right, after reading stoatman`s thread it got me inspired! i had already spent most of sunday daytime washing, claying and 3 step polishing the car, but never got round to finishing it. so while i was quiet at work i started on the roof but.....as said above....because of stoatman.....i removed the roof rails, roof strips and cleaned all the gutters, roof rails and strips! looks alot now some, ill let the pics do the talking: roof rails off strips off, gutter covered in s**te...especially by the windscreen all clean even cleaned the little clips that hold the strips on and the other side cleaned the strips (clean on the left) going back together and finished result then i couldnt stop...damn you stoatman! off with the skirts....more mud!!!! and all clean. i know how important this area is to keep clean....seem far to many rusty rear arches stem from this area other side not as bad and the car after my 2 day clean (finally after owning it for 2 months nearly!!) sorry for the crappy phone pics. will get better ones on a nice day. i am planning some suspension mods soon, so will take the inner arch liners off to clean behind them, and possibly the front wings off because there is still a bit of mud up there. cheers for looking, all comments welcome Dom
  8. just read your thread mate.....WOW what a project!! I have a Titan Silver MC2 too, and you have done pretty much everything i want to do too mine!! the rear lca`s you used are for an EG civic? so they fit straight in then? also the energy suspension kit did you specify for an MC2? I use AVO on our K20`d EG, and can vouch for how good they are...top blokes and top company. we use their remote reservoir dampers, and after a few initial teething probs (it was the first set they done for Civic`s) they are magic now. How much did you pay for them? (sorry to nosey!) i will defo keep an eye on this, keep up the great work! Dom
  9. cheers Nik, i have read pretty much all the links on here to do with them, and as you say opinions do vary! but i am confident that enough people are happy with them and how they ride to be more than happy with them on my `deck......if i can find any!!
  10. cheers noodels. im only guessing that its a members old car because it has the civic5 sticker and the guy i bought it off said that matey said he was a club member
  11. will do pal! but i really need help with locating some coilovers! i wanna get the racelands or equivilant. i would normally buy something branded like eibachs but im not planning on tracking it, just want something to slam it and give a nice stance. i have rea load of reviews about how good they really are (quite a few on here in fact) but i just cant seem to find any!!
  12. i havent cleaned it since i bought it a couple of months ago! and it wasnt that clean then.....its the top of the to do list tho
  13. Hi everyone, i have been a member on here for a little while, mainly whilst i was looking for an aerodeck.....and after a few weeks of looking i found it!! 103k miles, 2 previous owners and its in silver with all the usual vti bits.....my first proper honda! at the moment its got HID`s fitted, and i have removed the resonator box and swiss cheesed the airbox to get a bit of noise to it, but apart from that she is standard.....for now (it is also possibly a member off this club`s old car? unsure tho) Anyway, on with some pics of her (she is filthy i know!!) the only other mod are some rather nice Mugen pedals and the most recent addition so thats it for the moment...am currently on the hunt for some coilovers, Raceland or equivilant ones (off ebay) as i dont have a huge budget and just wanna get her lower to mother earth. any recommendations as to were to get some from would be really helpful! hope you like, comments always welcome Dom
