ok, so my missus was driving last night, it was sort of raining, and there was a sound like water dripping coming from the pasasenger door! really weird, she has heard it before too, but only when its wets (obviously!). has anyone else experienced this? i need to take the door card off to have a look, but thought i would see if its happened to anyone else Cheers Dom

i have had the same problem, but only when its is hammering it down. gonna take the scuttle off to check the drains first. i dont believe it to be a heater matrix problem, maybe they cant handle lots of water?

did you have to use a spacer on the front ones to miss the caliper?

i have seen a few like that before ! mines starting to go but only just .on mine theres a kink in the lip where the pannels join i think its a drainage hole ? but on doms i think someone has pulled/scraped the joint sealent off and thats proberbly why it has got that bad ? i went over it with a wire brush to see how bad it got, but the joint defo had the sealant peeled back before i got at it. it must be getting wet somewhere, because as you can see its quite damp and the other side is bone dry!

its on Koni sport springs, says it wouldlower car 35mm all round, but its more like 50mm!!! which i dont mind because i did want it pretty low....i am thinking about doing my standard wheels in gun metal grey in the summer, just while i save up for some different alloys. got loads i want to do to the car, but need time and money to do it!!
-
just one of those things mate, will get it sorted tho!

the rust is at the front of the floor pan jimbob, near to where the front wishbone rear mount is. i need to take off the rear arch ruber things and get it cleaned in there. i have some stonechip to go in the arches, just waiting for better weather to clean them
-
its stupid because that is the only rust on the entire car! the sills i was expecting some sort of surface corrosion...but nothing!!!! im gonna try and sort it pretty quick, MOT due in APRIL
-
funnily enough i had an MB1 or something in work on saturday for a new exhaust and it had rust in the same place! must be coming from further up and running down.....i do need to see if my drain channels are blocked because my missus said she thought it was dripping on the passenger footwell last time it hammered down with rain?!

its awesome! my boy is still getting used to it tho! gone from a rear facing seat looking at the rear seats of the car, to being able to see what is happening in the world in front of him! but we were very fortunate that his nan and grandad treated him to it before they moved to spain.

i thought about the F1 clutch kit that tegiwa do, the stage 1 kit, they do a discount code which gets a bit of cash off, but the delivery goes on top, whereas the stuff i can get from motor factors is obviously free delivery! i cant decide as i dont want to put some rubbish on when for the extra little bit get something decent...altho valeo arent a rubbish make
-
Hi everyone, i am due to change the clutch on my MC2 shortly, but dont really know what to go for....i work in the trade so can get hold of standard oe spec stuff quite easily from about £80 - £120 (valeo). i was just after opinions from people on what clutch they use, where they got it from and how much you paid? the car will be pretty much standard as its my missus daily driver. cheers guys for your input Dom
