Hi, my NSF door window seal has gone, split in few places and when window goes up doesnt seal properly. I can get replacement from MG zs / Rover 45, is it difficult to remove & replace? I presume window glass needs to come out completely which if so could be tricky? I hate windows, had my hands stuck and cut in door frame before, not nice if no space to work!! Any tips would be appreciated, thanks

Sunroof external rubber seal?! As per title, can this be removed in situ or does the glass or complete sunroof cassette need to come out? My rubber seal has split along the front edge and needs replacing, just need to know whats involved if anyones done it? Thanks

Haha Snap! I'm just going to order a set myself!! I've seen a few others, but the reviews and feedback are good for this guy and quick delivery so going for these too and at £30 seem very good value. Ordering them now!!

Checked pollen filter, not as blocked as I hoped!! Ordered a new one anyway, maybe the heater blower is slightly different on different years, definitely not as powerful!? Any way lets see if it improves?

Yeah I've done some research and pretty sure most sets should be ok but wont to check before ordering. D16W & Y codes cant be much different surely? definitely shorter then DOHC B series leads as I compared them to my VTI. I know some people recommend magnicore etc.... but I cant afford the price and dont think its worth it for daily driver / commuting. I think any decent set of leads would be improvement over my crusty old original set! Just need a set for reliable strong spark to improve and refresh the ignition and along with the iridium plugs I ordered should also work better with LPG for stronger spark. Keep updated

Ok great, thought may be the case. Its not an urgent job but makes things easier if I need to change exhaust can just get vti one as they seem more plentiful for some reason! obviously slightly larger bore should flow better as well. Yes as you say for some reason the 1.6 seems to have 2 lambda sensors before & after the cat whereas I recently changed the 1.8 lambda and its just got a single one just before the cat.

Hi, I know the manifold is different for the DOHC and the SOHC engine, but is the rest of the system that different? Obviously both aerodecks so presume the route, shape & mountings of the mid and back box is the same? Is it just the DOHC has larger bore? Thanks for info.

Hi, rocker cover looks nice, nice to know they all interchangeable Are all the D series HT leads the same also? Looking to get set for D16W4 in my aerodeck vtec, but plenty of listings of other D16 variants? Any info would be great, thanks

Thanks Guys! I like the idea of advertising it for tattoo shop!! You never know, there's plenty of people out there that might just want such a thing! So long as I can find another bonnet in the original colour to replace it. See how its goes, may well get decent price for the art work, certainly would cost a bit if you wanted it done in a bodyshop!

Hi, there, looking to replace the leads on my engine D16W4. (MC1 Aerodeck) Not mega performance set obviously, just to beef up spark and freshen her up for reliability really, However I've seen loads of listings for SOHC VTEC engines! Didnt realise there were so many. Would the leads lengths / fitment be that different. I would have thought SOHC sets would fit most of those types. Listings show D16Y6, 7 W3, Y8 etc.... nd many other variants!! Do I need a set specific for D16W4 or as Im thinking would most 1.6 SOHC VTEC sets fit fine for my requirements? Thanks

Yeah certainly is! he was Polish, apparently he had it done whilst visiting family! At least I know its reliable if its gone there and back!! Obviously I'll look to change / remove it at some point, whether its cheaper to re-spray it or change bonnet not sure yet. Not to everyone's taste I agree but it's actually quite well done in terms of airbrushing skill. I wonder what people think seeing a fish in their rear view mirror! Thought I might call her Wanda the Honda!!! haha

Hi, the interior grab handles above each door for some reason have the end caps missing!! No idea why you would remove and lose these but would anyone have a set in cream/beige colour? Thanks

Hi, just wondering if there were many differences in the M range of Civics or did they use similar Air con / heater/blower motors? My VTi has a good blower & aircon whereas the D16 SE model doesnt! Another D16 engine aerodeck I drove previously was the same. Blower motor is louder and not as effective not just in terms of aircon which can be serviced/gassed but the general output of the blower itself. Even on full feels more like an asthmatic blowing through a straw!! Were they fitted with different motors? (would seem unlikely but not sure).

Yeah its a strange colour, dark green but in another direction in sunlight it looks dark blue. Similar to colour flip paint!

Just checked the colour code its G89P, according to google its Sequoia Green!

Yeah I get to look at it for a while but it will be safe on my drive. I can also swap over a few trim bits maybe! (no thats naughty). Ohhthe rear shunt sounds nasty. But as far as I know LPG is no more flammable then Petrol. In fact should be safer as the LPG tanks are designed to carry the gas under high pressure and has at least 3 times the wall thickness than a fuel tank. Fuel tanks can split easily, where you could get away with dropping an LPG tank and would dent before splitting. I'm not an expert but this is what I have learned from researching about it when I converted my old Jeep XJ to run gas a few years ago. Hope I dont get to find out though!

Great, thanks guys. I dont know why I thought they were only black, I suppose just because I've never seen or had to look for another colour until now. My new model is a 1.6 SE Vtec on a 2000 'X' plate, not sure of colour yet but its like a dark green with a bluey tint. I'll definitely check it out and if I can get one reasonable then I might a swell buy one the proper beige / cream colour than mess around with my original. Thanks

She has now sold!!. Looks like she's going towards the big city of London (think Surrey area). Guy from ebay has been in contact and has paid me through paypal without even seeing it!! I always get buyers like that, amazing! He cant pick her up straightaway though so she'll have to sit on the drive for few weeks, but I dont mind. I get the new one on sunday so can compare them next to each other for a while.

HI, I assume these are quite rare (were they an expensive new option and not standard?) I've got one on my VTi at the moment but my replacement 'Deck doesnt have one so I'm thinking of selling the car without and keeping it to use on the other 'Deck? The only thing is the new interior is beige/cream so the black cover may not match, but sure I can colour it Again I assume they were all black as I've never seen any other colour?

Yeah it sure can make a difference and since its already converted the savings start straight away. Basically I'll have the equivalent of a 65+mpg Civic! Yeah hope the VTi can be sold shortly, looks like I'll have to get temp insurance cover to bring the other one home on sunday until the VTi sells. I've advertised it on fleabay and gumtree so should have good coverage. Quite sad actually as I took some pics on a recent trip to Shropshire and she looks so good. I think the market must be slow or quite limited at the moment as only had a few texts but no real interest, shame really. I'll keep the updates coming

Im shortly getting a 1.6 Vtec Aerodeck running LPG! (possibly the only one!) As a decat increases the emissions, likewise the LPG decreases it, so could possibly cancel it out?! Not a priority but just a thought?

Yeah sure. She's far too good for that though. And as you know she's a rare colour I believe the only one that colour for sale in UK at the moment! (none on ebay or gumtree anyway) Shame I havent got enough posts to get membership and advertise on here! (but you could always put the word out if you know anyone!?) I'll let you know how I get on, but I have to collect the LPG car by next weekend, whatever happens!

Yeah will be interesting to see if its the best move! I've put the Vti on gumtree but theres a few at the moment, albeit none the same colour! See what I can get for her but theres a few cheaper ones so may be difficult to get a reasonable price. Dont want her to go too cheap just to get a sale. I hope someone who appreciates these cars will give her a good home.
