  1. nsx calipers are a direct bolt on, same pads and discs
  2. You can also use auto transmission fluid as it does the same job
  3. eg9adz

    squeeky

It could also be your suspension top mount (or a number of other things steering/suspension related) easiest way to check is get a stethascope and listen to the car whilst someone turns the steering replicating the noise
  4. The pedal is fine its not a old brake fluid becoming hydroscopic and the car already has grooved discs so I suspect better pads already Its more a case of I want to get my brakes (and suspension) sorted before I turbo charge my car, the current brakes just arent upto scratch
  5. I've recently bought a mb6 and I remember the brakes being better on my last one, so I've been thinking about brake upgrades and came up with a few options 1) Upgrade the calipers to nsx/legend twin pots, more braking force with the advantage of keeping same size discs and pads 2) Upgrade the calipers to atr twin pots, more braking force but will have to change the hubs to 5 stud (meaning new wheels as well) or re drill the discs to fit the standard hubs 3) Upgrade to AP racing 300mm 4 pots for the 96 spec itr, the main disadvantage of this is the price, at £620 its more expensive than the atr twin pots if I dont change the hubs and a lot more expensive than the nsx twin pots. Has anyone on here done any of these upgrades and what was it like compared to standard? If you haven't what would you do to your mb6 to improve the braking?
  6. I was looking at buying this one as well, what other plans do you have for it?
  7. Depends what you use it for really and how practical you need it. Air con, pas and itr wheels saved me 30-40 kgs, pas was really noticable, reved a lot more freely and gave greater feed back through the steering wheel. Lighter suspension parts reducing unsprung weight then interior, most of dash, carpets, sound deadening, rear plastics could go then for more extreme measures you could get polycarbonate windows, cut any excess metal out the doors/boot and fit a sunroof blank I reckon 100kgs would be easy to shift
  8. I can do all the work, I just choose not to I have a local honda/mitsi specialist and it would seem rude not to use them

    Mileage!

My vtis on a '99 t plate just turned to 95k on the way back from collecting it
  11. To buy an mb6/mc2 at least then I can fit the full polybush kit I bought for my last mb6
  12. eg9adz

    Short Shifter

Short shifters can be bad for gearboxes as they try to beat the synchros when changing gear, I would never have another one again
  13. They do fit as I fitted itr suspension to my mb6 but I fitted coilovers so dont know how much the standard stuff drops it by. At a guess I would say it would drop it a bit more compared to when its on an eg as the mb is heavier.
