I will take another one in the morning .. So its a little more upto date as its no where near as tappy now ..
That does sound like the dizzy to me. Have you had the cap off to inspect any wear?
-
It's a very odd one.
Thing is @marv, there's not actually anything wrong with it!! It ran sweet before but it runs absolutely perfectly now after the adjustments. There is just a very odd 'rattle' coming from somewhere, of which the sound seems to change where it's coming originating! Can't be valve train related, that's all been checked and cleared. No excessive wear anywhere. The only thing it could possibly be in the head is an lma. But it's not that kind of sound and doesn't follow increase or decrease in revs. It's not the end of the cam where the dizzy sits. No play in there. Which leads me to suspect the dizzy again, but I bought a new one and it was still there! Lol.
So next port of call is, Mr @Honda Paul is going to be kind enough to let me stick his dizzy on, just encase the one I bought was dodgy.
Then an oil change from 5w30 fully back to 10w40 semi. Think we'll go castrol magnetic.
The. Go from there.
Shame you still cannot find the noise, 5w30 is not the right grading oil for these engine. Stick with the 10w40 semi.
You got a video of noise?

Hope it all gets resolved for you mate, on the plus side it should drive a lot better.

Honda seems to have a bad rep for repairs
+1 on that dude, not had good experience with them myself. Dealer stealers.
Sorry to hear about the problems your having hopefully this is the last of them.
-
That's low lol. Where did you get your collies and how much?
his previous posts state he bought them off flebay for £170 if they are the same ones. Dont look too bad a quality in the pics
-
that is super low, looks good though
-
So was it resprayed in the standard colour?
Yes in the original colour.
-
This one is EG/DC2 fitment. Is that what you bought?
-

Got real soft spot for green Ms
The pics i saw when I went to buy it, it looked blue. When I saw it in the flesh I was well chuffed it was baikal green, the flip is crazy like pirates black.

This is a very nice deck! The function 7 bar is lush!! Was it an easy fit?
Thanks. Brace Was straight forward to fit mate.
-
What about this @Grant?
Hahaha not that far off
-
Thanks for all the comments guys, much appreciated
The rear Lower control arms were a little tired so i purchased some cyberspeed ones and thought as i will be opening all the rear i might aswell get a subframe brace too so i opted for the Function7 one over the ASR brace.
Bolts were not much of an issue so it was an easy install.
cyberspeed LCA's, Function7 subframe brace and a beaks bar
Just before fitting all this i gave it a good going over with underseal and its like new under there
Pics also show the new true 2.5" mandrel bend exhaust system
spec list will be uploaded later

I'm confused, four people buy a ticket for £10 or you can buy one for £4? If the prize only gets drawn after four people have a ticket why do you need ten members to join in?
As said above it was as a example. It's £4 a ticket once 10 tickets sell number will be generated. Hope this clears it up

While we're kind of on this subject ...
Skunk2 inlet, obv deletes the IABs .. Will a normal ecu comensate enough, or do I really need to go down the route of p28 and map before putting it on
I was actually running mine for a couple of months before changing the map, I also ran the EG civic with a stock ecu for around a Year with no problems
It felt good with the inlet on with the stock ecu but i did not measure the A/F. But with it being N/A there is a big margin before you need to get it mapped, whereas tinkering with a turbo setup once its been mapped becomes sort of necessary to get tuned again.

To be fair, my car is about 15 years old and has done 98k miles, if I end up refurbishing the callipers they should last the remaining lifetime of the car. It's just maintenance anyway, though I could do without the expense it's not the end of the world!
Agree with you there mate, get them refurb end before it's too late.
Cars looking amazing by the way Krzy shine

I had purchased a set of pressed plates a while back but did not want to drill them, so when i came across a chap who could make custom holders i thought why not
All fitted
Sprayed all the rear Chrome trims so they didn't stand out
My new wind deflectors arrived today, so fitted them too
Thanks for all the comments guys
