EP3 Type-R seats, ideally wanted facelift red ones but these will do for now. May consider re trimming in red including door cards and rear seats.A36EB862-4776-4AC5-85DF-C9A6BA3FAE07_zps

Got a remote central locking kit to make life easier but don't know anything about electrics so have to get someone else to install it.

My favourite mod, plasma dials, wasn't even hard to install. When it came to wires, I was literally sh*tting myself because again I do not have any electrical knowledge but it was pretty simple as I only had to strip the red and black wires and wrap around it then tape it up. :)63C2CAC5-B6FD-45BC-9F1E-2ABFCD8461A6_zpsD9E09A88-95E9-48D5-99E9-5DF77A38415F_zpsD87C926B-0520-44D3-B763-05237B5E6995_zps

Steering wheel off eBay, couldn't get the horn working because again I'm sh*t with electrics so have ordered a push horn button and will place it where mirror controls are. Love the feel of the steering wheel, small and light, couldn't believe how heavy the old wheel was, must be a tleast 5KG lol.93C9C97E-EEC2-4C70-A65D-0ED305166BCF_zpsB2E82EDC-B99C-4E86-8F57-B24DC1F5F7F4_zps

So I will update next when I've fitted the seats and lowering springs and also done interior red.

  2. Is it easy or hard to install pre facelift EP3 seats. I searched and saw that you need to drill somewhere and they sit high. I've seen people also put Recaros and not have a problem. Is it just the EP3 seats that sit high and is a pig of a job to fit?

  3. The gear gaiter did not fit well so I messaged the seller and he told me it is for Type-R and he doesn't have one for MB civics. He said he could make one for MB civic if I sent my original one in or just refund me and keep the red one. I asked him for refund but now I'm having second thoughts. It would've been better if I could get one that fits properly.

What do you guys think I should've done?

Here are the pictures of it anyway

  4. Look how much mileage my car has done :D

I also sprayed my grill black, it was previously carbon wrapped but not a perfect wrap. So just thought I'd spray it for a more cleaner and original look.

Had a play around with my old headlights and installed an LED strip, not sure if many of you will like it but I want my headlights to be modern. I then noticed my old headlights are much cleaner than the new spare set I got, so I might just swap it over then try the projector mod.

Also sprayed my calipers red today

Noticed I scraped one of the wheel, only sprayed it like a week ago. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUU  :x

This also came in the post this morning along with caliper paint but forgot to install it, might do tomorrow.

  5. So I went to supermarket, parked my car and a lad on a bicycle came over to me asking if it's a proper VTEC. I said it's just a 1.5 VTEC then he was asking me if I'm gonna put a bigger engine on it and then told me he's got same car with B18. So we got into bit of a little chat and I told him about civic5 :D I don't have plans to swap the engine but now I'm in dillema lol

  6. Refurbished my wheels as they were pretty much scuffed up and it hurt my eyes too see them like this. Found about 5 spare black spray cans lying around so made use of it. Ideally wanted to do my wheels in gunmetal grey but for a professional job it was £70 and I'm currently saving up for lowering springs. So I might get the wheels done again soon after the car is lowered.

To be honest my car would've ended up in tears as I had forgotten to tighten the locking nuts, as soon I took the car out of driveway, the wheels were rumbling so immediately did a U turn and back to driveway and tightened the nuts.  :-)

Next I wrapped the fake wood dash trim in carbon but I'm not sure if I like it. I had to use the leftover wrap and did in 3 pieces, would've been better if I used one long sheet. Also did the gearbox surround.

I then bought a set of headlights to dechrome and detango which I already have done now, will be fitted in a couple of days. The old headlights are damaged so I might just have a play around with it and try to make it into a projectors.

  7. Sounds decent. Exhaust needs a tiny tweak just to get it sitting in the centre of the cut out. Sorry OCD. :)

Pics have been deleted but you don't really need them, easy job.

Thanks mate. I got the bumper off today but struggled to get the crash bar off in order to pull out the headlights. The bolts were rusted and too tight. So put everything back together and went to mates garage for help, he said the bolts need to be heated and come back tomorrow as he was just about to close. Took some pics of his and my car there.
