  1. Yeah I spent time prepping the grill.. Rubbed it first with the soft sanding block I got. Then I used wet 240 grit sandpaper and that cleaned it up nicely.. Used plastic primer on it. Three layers. Then wet sanded that with 1200 grit.. Did three layers of color and three layers of lacquer.. Wet sanded lightly with 1200 grit again.. Then compound and polish an and it turned out very smooth and shiny.. No lacquer runs :).. Hoping to do the same to the lip kit :)

Nice, what compound and polish did you use?

  2. @snakey135 Thanks, yeah I have raised it up a little but not yet got my ideal set up. I did all 4 sides the same height and front is more lower. I guess it's due to engine weight and my boot being empty, no spare wheel or sub there. I was thinking of raising the front but I actually like how it is, no tyre scrub and barely scraping so might instead lower the rear a little bit if putting back spare wheel and sub doesn't help.

  3. @ammarbm Thanks bro, yeah I took fogs out because one of the lens fell off but now it's glued back so I'll be putting it back on soon. I also took headlight washer jets out because the covers were missing, people thought something was broken lol.

@Roj Yeah the mudflaps were scraping like mad, everyone was looking like WTF haha. No place to put them now, so it means my car gets dirty easily and have to wash it more often.

@Krzys This is nothing lol, I leave about 3-4 marks every day. Weird when your neighbours think somethings broken on your car.

  4. Thanks all I've got a another problem now. The driver side headlight indicator is hyper flashing because the tail light bulb doesn't indicate. The passenger side is ok. I swapped the bulb over and it doesn't work on driver side tail light indicator but works on passenger side. Also same problem with reverse light, driver side doesn't work but passenger does. I'm confused what could the problem be? I do have the JDM tail light mod so wires are tampered with but I'm sure I did a good job with connecting them. I don't think it be the fuse because if it was then both tail lights wouldn't work. Also a few weeks ago I noticed the driver side reverse light was less bright then passenger side then soon it stopped working. Anyone can help?

  5. Got TA Technix coilovers the other day and fitted them recently. All went well except in the end I couldn't adjust them because the C spanner I had was small size  :x So ordered the correct size from eBay which took a couple of days to come. In the mean time, I used longer routes to avoid speed bumps and I have to say they drive much better than my old EG suspension set up, drive/handles great and not bouncy. So far I'm happy with them.  :-)

  6. I got pulled over the other day because my indicator bulbs aren't amber but white/yellowish due to dechromed and deoranged headlights. The cop however let me off and said I need to get it sorted asap. So now I'm looking for proper amber indicator bulbs but don't know which ones fit. I took my old one out and it says Osram 7506 12V P21W.

I searched on eBay 7506 and P21W but I get results for LED bulbs which I don't want because they will hyperflash.

Can someone help me find the right ones for a good price please, thanks.  :-)

  7. Felt like colour coding my grill to see what it would look like as black is overdone and most EK civics I've seen have colour coded grill so going for that look lol. Didn't colour code it actually, just used some £1 silver spray can left overs.

My fog lights lenses fell off, that's why I took them off. I also have a set of OEM fog lights but lenses are broken too, is it possible to get replacement lenses from anywhere?

  8. Oh right, well actually I have all 4 EG springs on mine, not just on the rear. I don't understand why the rear sat more lower than front. I always thought it was the opposite way around due to engine weight.  :-?

  9. Update:

Got the new wheels, test fitted in driveway, not happy because the rear arch gap is too big and I want it lower.6CF53622-50CD-44FB-A723-1FE44AC86393_zps7E3BD9A5-CEB0-4C7E-9FF1-852FCCF71BEA_zps

So got EG springs off a mate very cheap which surprisingly dropped the rear much more than expected. The front remained the same. The ride wasn't good compared to old set up, very bouncy so I was still on the hunt for coilovers.D8699597-D1C9-45C2-8F1C-AC98B2DEBBA9_zps

Anyways went ahead and fitted the new wheels. CB6F226B-805E-496D-975A-5B9411695114_zps6DC635BF-1181-4139-B3CC-7151BE35FBA2_zps6F14D4F4-3C04-4633-8428-BC3B63534045_zps

I then got BBS centre caps.BE820945-B8FF-4C93-A6F2-0A26BD78DBF6_zps25B09E99-2D12-402C-98D5-53FDA4EECA30_zps

I also got a new OMP steering wheel and arm rest fitted.1833C917-DA1B-43C1-922B-CA133FC40E91_zps12717830-28A4-43CB-87D2-22C809976060_zps

Coilovers next.  :-) Also will get new fog lights as mine cracked and colour code the grill.

  10. Hey all, looking to lower my car to an equal height and handle better but at a budget price of £100. After a bit of research, I have the found the following info but need some advice. This is what I was told.

JDM DC2 stock front shocks and springs fit with no problem. Rear shocks and springs will only fit with DC2 lca. Handling and ride is much better. I have not been told if the ride height will be equal. Will the rear sit higher than front of be the same? Also can I fit MG ZS ARB with this set up?

MG ZS is the cheapest recommended suspension set up. Standard springs won't lower it so aftermarket lowering springs are needed. I was recommended Eibach springs. However I wasn't told whether the ride height will be equal. What if I use some other springs? I currently have Pro Sport 40mm springs on stock MB shocks and rear sits higher.

Last of all, are the £170 eBay coilovers better than any of the above? Should I instead get them?
