  1. Thanks, would a second hand driveshaft be ok or is it better to replace with new one?
  2. Not my pic but got same problem, took wheel off to clean ABS sensor as light is on but saw black grease all over inside the wheel then had a look at CV joint and saw where the grease is coming from. The rubber gaiter has come off lose and I don't think I saw boot clip that holds it together. Would it be simple as pushing gaiter back in and put a clip around it or is there another way to fix?
  3. Have to agree with that, seen too many silver EKs and MBs and now not a fan of silver cars lol.
  4. No that must be someone else lol, I registered on CTR forum to find bit more info but I can't even decide what colour I like lol they all look good. I plan to keep my MB6 too for turbo project but want something modern for daily so was considering the EP3. Got to wait until summer, hope I will be decided on the colour lol
  5. Shame you're selling up, my favourite MB6 on the forum haha. I could potentially be interested, have you got a price in mind? PM me buddy.
  6. Bit off topic but hope you don't mind me asking, I fancy an EP3 soon and seeing you previous had MB6, can you tell me what it is like on fuel and maintenance costs compared to MB6?
  7. Bought these VTi-S clocks from eBay for £12 delivered and they work perfect, have also corrected the mileage. Some randoms
  8. Managed to sort this out, turns out the blue bulbs I've bought are not supported. I didn't have standard orange bulbs so used them from my other civic and they work. Had spare fog and dimmer switch and they light up too. Just need to find another set of bulbs that will work so I can put back orange bulbs on my other car.
  9. Bump, anyone know a fix before I bypass dimmer switch
  10. @dr_broon Is it the plug that goes back of the dimmer switch or some other one? I found a wire pop out whilst looking at fuse box and don't know where it goes, it is red/yellow wire with a plug and it's coming from the big green plug connected on fuse box.
  11. Hope someone can help me here. I swapped my dial clock bulbs to blue T10 501 bulbs and the dials only light up white but it's very very dim and only noticeable at night. I've checked the bulbs and they are fine. I had blue LED ones before so put those back and wtf, they don't work either. I've tried spare set of LED white bulbs and they don't work. Also have spare VTi clocks and tried those with bulbs changed and still nope, dim white light. Other issues I have which might or might not be related is that the two switches on the instrument cluster surround, one I believe is for fog lights and the other dimmer switch, they both don't light up, pressing them doesn't do anything, my fog lights don't come on, checked the fuse for front and rear fog lights and it's good. Don't know what else to check for so help please.
  12. This is looking good, can't wait to see the updates
  13. Nice clean civic mate, got the same wheels in same colour on mine too, they are pain to keep clean lol
  14. Cheers I'll bleed the coolant system again, not driven the car much since the issue. Temp seems to be ok, stays below half. Also tried blocking throttle body hole with a cloth and it seems to stabilize the idle, would this mean anything?
  15. @DanialA11 I followed this tutorial to take it apart then sprayed chrome bit in black. http://civic5.com/forum/topic/493-dummies-guide-how-to-de-tango-your-headlights/
  16. Still need help please, I haven't sorted this problem yet. I noticed my AEM fuel pressure regulator had a pin missing so a hose wasn't connect to it. I replaced it with a standard fuel pressure regulator. This didn't fix my problem. Next I followed this diagram to remove all the vacuum hoses to check for any cracks but nothing, they all are good. So I put them back according to this diagram but I remember the hose 18 was actually connected back on inlet manifold when I removed it. So bit confused if this diagram is correct or was my hose connected wrong in the first place? I've noticed the idle stays in one place if I release the clutch halfway at biting point or turn the heater up, would anyone know anything about this?
  17. I have FLi 6" 210 watts speakers and not happy because it sounds same as my old standard ones. Would upgrading the head unit make a difference? Mine is a rubbish cheap one.
  18. Just curious as I'm looking to upgrade my sound system. Currently have no stereo in the car lol. Anyone suggest a good stereo with USB/CD/AUX compatibility. Also want to replace the door speakers at the same time so need info on which ones will fit and what adapters if required.
  19. @DanialA11 I wouldn't recommend EG/EK springs, their spring rates are different as they are lighter cars than MB. I had EG 30mm springs on mine and rear sat way too low and ride was very bouncy. I've heard MG ZS stock suspension is quite good and straight fit.
  20. Have used eBay springs on my old civic MB3, Pro Sport 40mm and they drove fine but I wasn't happy with the height as rear was too high.
  21. Went out in the civic and decided to take a couple of pics.
  22. Yeah true about white being a pain to keep clean, was going to do black first but think black on black looks too chavvy.
  23. @KiNK43 Leaking oil, from the distributor side area, upon closer look the inlet manifold gasket seems to have chunks missing so I think I need to replace it. Also sprayed wd40 over that area and it developed bubbles so could vacuum leak be coming from that area or is it bubbling because engine is hot. Was bit of rush when changed coolant, saw there wasn't enough so drained it all out under the radiator then topped up with new.
  24. I removed the battery off my mb6 then put back and now when idle the revs are going from 1k to 2k then back to 1k then 2k and so on. I've cleaned the idle air control valve, cleaned throttle body, put new coolant in, sprayed wd40 over the hoses to find vacuum leak but nothing so far. Noticed a leak from inlet manifold gasket, would that be related to idle issue? Car is also running lean, I've ordered new plugs and fuel filter to see if that helps.
