  1. The front lip has two screws on side and a few bolts on the bottom which mount onto the bumper. I didn't bother with sealant. The skirts have plastic rivet screws on bottom which you remove carefully to not mess up the shape and 2-3 screws on front then it slides forward to come off. Easy way to refit is put all clips on the skirts and push it in then slide backwards. The back lip is bit of a job as it needs holes drilling onto the bumper, and 3M double sided tape inner top edges so it fits neatly with no gap and then screws on both sides and bottom to mount it onto the bumper.

  2. it wouldn't be a fuse if the other indicators work mate. you say you've tried the multimeter on the wires? try looking further down the line at the wires. it might have rubbed through the wire.

have you wire tucked them down the wing or are they still as they were?

also check your earthing point which should be on the inside of the wing or in the engine bay side of the wing, should be about 4 black wires maybe on one bolt, it could be corroded too much

@Chandler I placed the multimeter on the spade connectors which go in the brown plug, the wires were covered in some white paste which I cleaned off first. No wire tuck done at all, I did however cut through the all the cable tubes to make it easy to follow the wire inside. I also used a separate earth wire connected to the battery and still nothing.

I found these two wires pop out of nowhere under the dash, not sure if it's related to my problem but I don't know what they are for and where they plug in.  :?:

  3. My driver side headlight indicator isn't working at all, the side repeater and tail light indicator do work. I've replaced the bulb a few times and it hasn't helped. I removed the bulb holder to check the wires and there are two wires, one is black which I believe is earth and the other yellow/green which I believe is power. I used a multimeter to check for power and there isn't any. I've also traced the wire all the way back to under dash fuse box and it is connected to a plug which is plugged at back of the fuse box. So seems like the wire is intact. I also can't find a fuse for the indicators so I'm literally out of ideas on how to fix this. Any help please, thanks.

  4. Ok I'll leave it there then as already got CD player.

@KiNK43 Just read your comment properly and looked up the prices on those parts you mentioned and they seem within my budget. I'll be collecting a few bits soon, was just wondering if you got link to your MB6 build please?

  5. Had an issue with boot being stuck and not opening so bit of fiddling about for an hour and spraying WD40 on the hinges, it popped open. It was creaking as I moved it up and down so sprayed tons of WD40 all over the hinges and on lift support until no more noise. Let's just hope it doesn't get stuck again.

So I then proceeded to remove the rear wiper and de-chrome the number plate trim. Think it looks neat like this.

Got all the junk out to check for any water leaks but thankfully none.  :-)

Just curious if anyone knows what this wire does as it wasn't connected to anything.

  6. Yeah that's better..

you can get close to 200 for not too much. My c4 made around 174bhp standard except 2.5 mani and exhaust and a tune.

added type r cams. Skunk Intake. And 70mm billet throttle and retuned.

Made around 194bhp. So pretty decent for n/a and not mega money

@KiNK43 Thanks. Yeah I’ve been doing some research into these engines and think it’s too much effort and money for 200hp. I don’t want to be spending too much for little gains so I will stick to 190-195hp which I’ll still be happy with. Need to spare some cash towards Meisters lol.

Just sorted insurance out and now driving her as a daily, so modding will start anytime soon.

  7. Yeah, still using it and i love it. Like i say I need more weight over the front wheels though. I had extended ball joints on the front around a year ago, and that dropped it back down - the handling and turn in was great, but I was getting rub again. When the ball joints died i went back to normal ones which meant the front lifted back up so front and back were pretty even, and I really noticed the difference in handling. Think taking the air con out has added to the change in weight balance.

Think that you'd have to find a local machine shop / engineering company and take a shock in for them to understand what you need.

From memory, the spacers are a thick disk (a bit like a polo), with a groove machined in so they sit on top of the spring clip on the shock and then the cup that holds the spring sits on top of the spacer.

Don't think I've got any pics of it.

@dr_broon Thanks I'll look into it. Might just contact Koni and see if they can help.

  8. It was s88 hon... I bought them off him. Mine sits pretty much level now, but i want the back a bit higher to get more of the weight onto the front wheels.

@dr_broon Are you still using the same suspension and how does it ride? Is there anyway I could obtain those spacers from elsewhere?
