  1. I did a bit of research and found that someone had used spacers on front to raise it up by 5mm. However that thread is 5 years ago and I can't reply to it. So was wondering if anyone would know where I could get these spacers from? I really need to raise the front as sometimes I struggle to open the door when parked next to pavement lol.

  2. I've got koni shocks but with eibach springs and have the shocks quite stiff.

@dr_broon Does your front sit lower than rear? I have Koni STR.T suspension on mine and not happy with front being too low, almost catches the arches.

  3. lol Glad to hear you got it open mate. Never heard of the struts seizing before, so that's a new one! Will be handy to know in case any other members get the same fault

Lol yeah, probably hasn't been opened in a while but I'm glad I got it working in the end. Quite disappointed the boot light doesn't work anymore but I think I can live without one hehe

  4. @Dave Thanks for the help Dave, managed to open the boot after an hour of fiddling. Turned out that the mechanism was fine, just the boot lift support probably seized as it was making creaking noise or could be rusty hinges. Sprayed WD40 all over them until no more creaking noise and now boot shuts and opens fine. Hope it stays like this forever lol. :)

  5. Hmmm, I had this happen on my MA8 years ago, but be damned if I can remember what caused it! I know that I cut an actual flap into the plastic panel on the tailgate that could be removed for access to all the gubbings in case it happened again. Can you get a flat blade screw driver onto the small part of the mechanism mate, the part that goes up? It could be that the larger lower part is worn and isnt pushing the smaller part far enough to fully unlock it. If you can get to it, get someone to operate the lock, and then try and push the smaller part the little bit further with the screwdriver. Hopefully that should be enough to unlock it.

@Dave I managed to remove the bottom plastic panel to gain better view. Yeah have tried using a screw driver to push up the small part of mechanism and it still doesn't open. I pushed it up as much I can. When you say get someone to operate the lock, do you mean get someone to use the key from outside on boot whilst I push up the smaller bit because I've done this with a mate pulling the lever on the front and it didn't open.

One strange thing I noticed was that the boot wasn't sitting flush as seen from the pic so I pushed it back down hoping the latch locks then I can open it but still no  cry.gif1

Is that the cable visible on the right? If so have you tried pulling that?

@KiNK43 No I haven't tried as the lower part of latch moves about so I thought it won't be a cable issue but I'll give it a shot tomorrow.

  6. As title, I have MB6 and boot seems to be stuck. Using the key or lever won't help and I don't have the remote key fob for the car. I folded the rear seats and got in to push the latch upwards but nothing is happening. Got a mate to pull the lever and can see the latch rotating. Still confused to what's happening, I had a look at my old MB3 and noticed that from the pic below, the bigger part on bottom rotates upwards and pushes the small part on top upwards to open the boot but on my MB6 exactly the same happens but boot just doesn't budge.  :-| Any help will be appreciated.

  7. Nice example there! Nice mods, just a set of Meister R's soon and your sorted ;)

Cheers, yeah Meisters definitely on my list of future plans. Just be a while until I get the funds together lol.

Yeah man looks great. Few lil bits like grill be a beauty that.

Fair bit more needed for 200hp. Expensive number to reach on a c4.

Yes I’ve been researching more into these engines and having second thoughts now. It’s all down to budget as I don't want to splash too much when I could change the head for more opportunities and I've also been offered a JDM B18C which is just what I need but it's not cheap lol. I'd still be pleased if I could get to 190hp with these bolt ons. :)

  8. That sounds all good to me, I think the height on your car is bang on. The front should be lower on these civics for sure. I will look into these later on into my project. Thanks Hamza

    @azzamb6 No worries brother

Great find bro.. Looks clean and some very nice mods already on there.. What are the plans?

@ammarbm Yeah the plans are to first start off with servicing it and replace valve stem seals. Swap a few parts from my old MB3 which is then going up for sale. Touch up bodywork areas, grill, front lip and rear bumper. Underseal. New wheels and coilovers. Main thing is I want to aim for 200hp mark N/A so S80 gearbox, Exedy stage 1 clutch, chipped P28 ECU, intake manifold and 2.5 exhaust system and maybe a few other bits which I can’t remember atm.

  9. Real neat brother. Im interested in the koni suspension, how does it deal with cornering and also comfort?

@azzamb6 It's quite good. I have cheap eBay coilovers on my old civic and the Koni suspension is far better. I know a few members on here using it too. Drives smooth, no bounces and handles great. Only downside is that the front sits quite low than rear but it's not really a problem for me as I can go straight over speed bumps without scraping.

  10. Hi all, I've recently bought an MB6 VTi in Pirates Black and though I'd start a thread. :-)

Some pictures I took when I went to pick it up.

  11. I got the same foglights. They're brilliant and proper bright!

I actually copied yours lol, loved how clear the lenses look from a distance and 70mm is perfect size for the fog surrounds. Shame I didn't get to test them at night as fuse blew up twice due to messy wiring lol.

  12. Interior looks mint mate, didn't realise you had re-trimmed the headlining and stuff, really looks good. Have you got any closer pics of how you attached the whale p***s with the bracket they supplied?

I had the same problem, couldn't figure out how to fit the bracket so I just did this.ABF273F0-175A-444B-8BF4-EAB470824D92_zpsCC5989D8-173F-43C9-8EE5-CBE2A717875F_zps

  13. So I got a neat little gadget for the MB6, it's a USB charger for the 12v socket but it also features an LCD display with some handy info!

I got one for the Beemer too but it doesn't fit so snuggly in the socket so I'll probably just keep it as a spare.

That's hell loads of cash, which bank did you steal from?  :-)
