The beast is on the road. and today was the first time in about 7 weeks i've seen it in the flesh. I can not explain, give enough credit, tell you, how unreal it looks. its amazing. all these years of it being off the road, the money he has spent to put it back on, the time its taken to paint it. its all worth it and meaningless when you see it for real. little drama though, when he pulled out of his yard where it has been living the last 7 weeks, he went over a speed bump and ripped a bracket off his buddyclub exhaust. drove it to get it alined at dixon motorsport, then called me to use my jack so he could wrap the exhaust, and will weld it back on monday. no damage to car, just sounded even more stupidly loud. but, all in all its good to go, just a few things he wants to do now to engine bay ect and then I guess we will never see it again as he wont drive it lol

been a while since I've updated this, so here goes. Last friday, I decided that this was the day I was going to do the turbo fitment. I finished my job and got back about 3pm, and got to it. I finished for the day at about 9ish and had got a fair bit done, manifold and turbo on, exhaust, oil line and t-peice. Water hoses. I then realised that my harnes adapter was completely wrong for my harness. , but mine wasnt far orr from the odb1 ecu plugs. Having a look around, I was ingormed that my plugs would go in with a bit of work, and I needed to bridge a wire. perfect. Saturday was my girlfriends birthday, so I didnt do anything really, just bought a circular drill bit to make a hole for the charge pipe. Sunday I fitted the charge pipe in, the intercooler and soldered the resistors for injectors. as well as file down the rubber seals so the injectors would fit. I had big issues with the clips fitting, ie, they didnt.... at all. I clipped away at them, until they were just a mess and at least plugged in. and then shortly found out that MGF injector plugs are an exact fitment for evo injectors. Being a guy who only works on the K-series rover engine, I have LOADS of MGF plugs and stuff, so I wired them in and spot on, no mangled plugs.. Fired it up and all worked. spot on. This is normally the part where I should write about how something went wrong, or fell off, or the turbo died. but nothing, it's great. works perfect pretty much. I have drvien (rightly or wrongly, dont judge me) around 300 miles with it since the conversion, and I have in that time driven it normal, driven it a little hard hitting boost, and had a race against my brothers EP3. and not yet has it spluttered, cut out, plooms of smoke. The one thing I have noticed, is it is in need of a new rad, it does as expected get hot if boosted for a good time. it does cool down, it doenst smoke or lose coolant ect. it just gets hot and a new rad will fix this for sure. overall I am happy. its fast, sounds insane, right now looks like a hack job as the bumper is a bit..... s**t. I got carried away and cut places I shouldnt have and kinda just bodged it on. to be fair, in my defence. it needed a new one anyway, or at least a respray, so maybe I will sort another one out and do that properly. a few pics of it below. nothing special, and the shot of it with bumper on was just me lining it up and where I left it for the night, so its not actually fitted right. I did what I said I would pretty much, before the deadline (tomorrow) Suspension, ARB, Turbo, Brakes. The wheels I am leaving for the min, and the spoiler, that was a dead cert until I went to the guy who I knew had one at a breakers and someone beat me to it. the rear strut, if im honest I forgot about it as I was so wrapped up in the turbo. And after all that, I am not going to japshow lol

This is my brothers car, but he isn't a member here and someone a few weeks back said to put some pics up of it, so thought id do a thread in here. Ok, so the story goes like this. He started out with a few various cars as we all do, then eventually saved up and got a DC2. it then went under a lot of work, and it was an animal, a lot of custom stuff made personally for his spec and engine and it had thousands spent. here is the only pic I could find on my phone of it, this was towards the end of the build. Then that went and he bought himself a 350z. I knew after about a week he hated it, everything about it he didn't like, it wasn't a honda, it wasn't as fun, and although it looked nice and was much better to pull up outside a pub or club in for the girls, he really just didn't get it. so as soon as there was a sniff of a rumor that redundences were being made at his work, he got home and sold it lol. about a week later he went and bought an EK9 for about 3k less than the 350z. Anyway, he had it for about a week and then put a B18c6 engine in it. ran it around for about a year and decided he wanted a house more than a car, so was going to put it back to standard and sell it and the ITR engine seporate, to make some money up. anyway, he got half way through putting the 1.6 back in and he lost interest, He had deposit money, the car didnt have to go, so it sat on my mum and dads garden for 2 1/2 years, and this happend to it. So about 2 months ago, he decided he wanted it back on the road. The B18c6 went back in, JDM ECU, some cams from America, not sure what they are, and a full decat system, janspeed manifold and buddy club manifold back. The exhaust is stupidly loud and the police use to come over a lot from complaints, I think this next picture explains maybe why lol So, all getting put back together He found that with it sitting around for so long, a lot of stuff had rotten, being a fabricator, he took all the control arms, took them to work, cut out the rust, welded new bits in and had them painted up. new bushes fitted and then after pleading poverty to me, these turned up in the post. a couple of days later, some Meister r coilovers also came for it but I missed them for pics before he put them on. He then got it up and running, and got it on a trailer where he and a guy he works with, ex body repair/painter guy stripped it all down and took it right back for a fresh paint job. I believe now it has all the bumpers back on painted ect, and he is getting some new wheels. then it's a matter of, MOT, tax and then 4 wheel tracking as its way out with the new stuff on it. A lot of cutting out of old rust and stuff was done, and things that no one would ever see or could see behind and under things were done, this really is going to be back to show room condition. not just a car that is polished nice and claimed to be. The most frustrating thing about it is, this car is great, it went really well from what I remember and now it's going to be even more improved and look amazing, but he is just so...... meh, it's done when its done type attitude. annoys the s**t out of me lol

ok, first off the turbo kit. It's a race tech kit, with TD05 turbo. I am going to change the manifold at some point. once fitted I am heading voer to Eurospec 2000 to have it all mapped to my engine, even though the ECU is mapped to another B18c4, and I am having all the exact bits from it, injectors, pump ect. Then here is the fuel tank out. not really much to see, but thought I would make a start on the things like this, so when I come to fit the turbo, all the silly jobs that take time like this are done. then here is the air con. this has to go to make room for the turbo and the intercooler. weighed a bit, so nice weight saver right there. Just need to buy some resistors for the injectors and then I will get to it. Thinking maybe tuesday. but at this rate, wed or thursday. Either way, happy with what I got done today. being back under the back of the car again today I really really want new lower control arms now, they look nasty. tomorrow I am going to give it a clean and polish.

Got the tank off. really wasnt in the mood for it, but gave in as I need to have the pump in there before I get to the botling on of turbo ect. Wasnt that bad, it's off, new pump in and now having a (another) 5 min break. all in all so far taken about 30/40 mins i'll get the pics of kit up soon, have it on instagram, just need to upload to my photobucket. right..... back to it

big fan of this build. done such a great job. also, really liking the sticker on windscreen, looks really good. seen euro style cars with it and wondered what it would look like on mine.. answer is SICK!! haha

What engine mounts fit on here? I was under the impression that Integra type r ones would, but now not sure. Has anyone gone down this route or know the definite answer? Thanks in advance guys

Ok, So been a short while since doing anything more. Work has been flat out and every time I say to myself, ok I will do this on this day. I get a job book in. and being self employed, I kinda have to take them as they come. So, Today after a trip to Great Yarmouth for a small job, I got back at about 2ish, and decided to go ahead and fit the ZS 180 struts and Rear ARB. Was in the mood, and it's one of them things I didnt really have the motivation for, but it had to be done before I boost. Pretty straight forward and not much to report really. I took a couple of photos, but I think the after shot doesnt really show the difference in the height. Handling has improved 10 fold. it's kind of rediculous how much better it is, and thats with bushes that have seen better days, cheapy tyres and dampish roads. By far one of the most noticable mods I have done for a long while. and all in cost me £70. Very happy with that. Thursday I eventually pick up the turbo kit. but that's about it for a few days. I am away on friday in norwich, which could be a long one, Saturday with the kids and sunday I may be going up to newcastle to do a job. so, as of now, Monday will be the earliest I start to fit the turbo to it. Anyway, here are some pics, before and after, although prob not any difference in pic, and the 2 ARB's although im sure this kind of thing has been documented many times on here. before after the ARB's need to sort the new one out as it goes.
-
The kit im getting has everything, including ECU. It has been mapped with the injectors and manifold ect I am getting from a B18c4. so I can just bolt it on and good to go, although yes I know it will need a fine tune as all engines are different.

wow its an R registration your is one of the earliest ones what month was it registered because if it's january its one of the very first feb it was reg'd!! Planning to go and get the turbo kit on thursday eve. Suspension on friday. hopefully!!! no rush, still 3 weeks to go, but kinda really wanting it all here, even if I dont fit it all until next week. Might have sourced some seats cheap, so they "may" come by jap show also. Anyone here going to it? be good to meet up with some other members and get ideas and stuff on things
-
Yep but you can alway butcher/mod your original runner to make them fit! Thats good to know buddy. nice one The EK9 is in the middle of a respray. New meister coilovers fitted, buddy club camber adjusters and I guess the main thing is it has a B18c6 integra engine in it. buddy club spec 2 exhaust, jdm ecu, some cams from amuurica, not sure what brand. hopefully he will be ready by end of the month, but it has taken 2 and a half years for him to decide to take it off the garden and do it all lol..

It's a 98. on a R. has a few crappy bits on the paint work, but today in the sun, it really does look nice. Yes, big list to get done by end of the month, but if all goes to plan, most should be done by the weekend. Suspension, brakes and turbo. fingers crossed haha

So, I recently got myself an MB6 VTI-S I got this cheap and decided to do some bits to it, as I kind of like the idea of it with this basically. I am in the "process" of getting a turbo kit for it at the end of the week. and also waiting on a guy from Ebay to let me know when I can pick up the MG ZS 180 suspension and rear anti roll bar. Things to do before June 30th, for the Jap show. (not in this order) Fit MGZS 180 suspension and anti roll bar Buy and fit turbo kit fit new discs and pads. decide on what wheels to get, 15" ITR ones or go up to 17" Buy and fit Accord type R spoiler Buy and fit front and rear strut brace Other things I would like to get done soon after. Steering wheel New front seats, possibly Accord type r ones, not sure if they would fit though? Have the car vinyl wrapped in Matt red or white. More done to the chassis, possibly coilovers, more struts, anything to improve the handling to a good standard. There are a bunch of small things I will do as I go along, that either I can't think of or feel no point in posting up as they just seems like not worth it, like a cd player etc. but will post up as and when I do them. here are a couple of pics, not great but an idea. the last one shows after a polish and the swirl marks. paint really isnt that great with a few scuffs here and there, so that was my thinking towards the wrap. especially after seeing my brothers ek9 today freshly painted and looking amazing.
