  1. It helps that every 6 months I can wind up the girlfriend, as her tax is double mine. I'm just making lemonade with it.
  2. COTM needs categories! @ammarbm you have my vote, I hate silver on cars, but yours is an exception.
  3. To be honest, I'm calling it fate. I was so unsure about those wheels, that I was stressing whether they were worth it. However the decision has been made for me, which is a weight off my shoulders. Also, a teenie tiny mod has been done that Tom will like when I finally get round to posting a pic...
  4. Yuck, tax letter came through today. Means no affordy the above wheels, so may just have a go at refurbing my stock ones for now.
  5. It's ok, he dropped the price to help cover fuel, so I'm dragging my dad out for the road trip. Appreciate the idea and offer, but gives me a chance to bond with the old man too. Next quiz for everyone, what is needed for refurbing wheels (besides paint and a good sanding) as I'm unsure how to tackle the polished lip...
  6. They are in durham, way way over on the east side
  7. Think that'd take a while, plus I dunno where people are. If he doesn't knock something of the price for the petrol, I'm gonna see if he'll meet somewhere a tad closer.
  8. The more I look at them the more I'm put off, I just hate that they would be perfect , if they were in better condition.
  9. Yeah that's the problem I'm having. I feel like I'd have a go myself, but dunno how hard it'd be...
  10. The dilemma being: I love these wheels, it's the style, number of spokes, and size and colour I want (ideal, right?), however the seller tells me they are all in similar condition to the one pictured above, so not great and from what I can tell, just really need a Damn good clean. The price is £100, however they are nearly 4 hours away, so I am attempting to haggle, as there will be basically no use of the tyres on them too...
  11. Right, I still need to research the hub size of both, these wheels, and my cars, but opinions needed: Here is one of the set I will be buying (possibly) -
  12. Also , does it look weird, or do I just need to get used to it being there?
  13. It's annoying me the the bolts are so obvious...
  14. Holy crackers that black one is porn. I'd have that as a daily!
  15. Too many drifters, not enough track MX5's out there, get it track ready!
  16. Congrats. Think the minute you were entered we knew you'd won. One beautiful M. One day, I will buy it from you.
  17. Not if you knew how dirty it was. I took the other half to a Maize Maze, was too low to get on the field for parking, so I parked just next to a farm entrance, next to a huge puddle that I didn't notice at the time. To put it in perspective, my bonnet and OSF wing were literally brown. So I jet washed then ran through on one of those paint protection packages at the Imo. Don't worry, she'll get a polish by hand as an apology
  18. Love the wheels! Should lose the Type R stickers though...
  19. I had no time to wash it, and it had been parked next to a puddle so it was filthy... I didn't want to drive it filthy, so shortcuts were taken. Made to regret it after the dryer hit the spoiler though!
  20. Since I've raised it , it's stopped, so maybe run it for a few weeks, and see if it stops. If not, just try lifting it a bit
  21. Update: She has been raised 15mm at the back, as the coilies settled lower at the rear, and had started to squeak on every slight bump. I have another can of plastidip, so hopefully will get round to dechroming the rear. And repairing the damage to my spoiler (caused by a car wash dryer hitting it) And the tow hook has yet to arrive...
  22. So you joined, just to say your killing an M? You meanie! I've been looking at those civics too, as I've had a lot of problems with my MB3, and want a replacement daily, so I can put some time in on my M
