Left Euro car parts in a rage! snatching back my ill fitting rotor and giving the gremlin what for, Never again will I use their utterly hopeless service, maybe its just the Birmingham branch.

I drove from Dallas to Phoenix a few years ago, funnily enough in a Civic! bubble shaped one, bright red, pasted into Juarez by accident and had to pay to get back into the states, first thing you see from the border is green and white Beetles, I didn't know till recently that they were taxis! I thought they were rozzers.... Hit a Lesbian strip club, could have been a gay bar but it was full of women getting down and dirty, phoenix was great. Spent a whole 6 weeks on the road, motels and dive bars. loved it.

Day 4 a jolly good morning to you all! currently i stand at the help desk of my nemesis, Euro car parts, i have come to return the rotor they screwed up and guess what. Just blatant incompetence, the label is on it, the emails say its theirs, wrong and can be returned so why am i still standing here 30 minutes later? Some hidden goblin is tapping away behind a partition, hate these idiots. I think maybe i get my parts Ebay only from now on eh.

never a dull moment, well until nightfall then i have to go indoors and try not to watch brain melting soap garbage and there's only so much top gear any man can take without being over come with the need to call the bank and take a loan for a supercar under £5 or £10k, have you guys done a full on road trip? Suppose that's full of complications, family, jobs, er indoors....

I want to take out the lights and without wishing to be un-PC, blacken them, the problem is that every bolt on the car is so b****red I am surprised she's still holding together as she is, so for me its a quick cheap solution to a problem that never existed and I have just got done toothpasting my headlights and they have come up so clean and shiny its a shame to cover them, of course I ordered my crap this morning before I set to work on getting her cleaner than when I got her, normally I spend the whole day and much wax and creamy liquid detailing the living crap out of a car, If you could see my old Mazda you'd know what I am on about, I do love a bit of anal cleaning. Too much chocolate and I have a spot, I have named him Cedric.

Evening......... Day 3 Ordered new dizzy, should be here next week so I will set about ballsing that up for your delectation, today, well today plans changed slightly, with the on off rain and the wind blowing my skirt up I decided to stay warm by washing and cleaning the original matts that came with the car, the drivers one says 'Civic' on it just in case I forget what car I am driving, well chuffed with the way they came up, purchased some fly eye for the front and rear for £20 from a local seller 50cm x 100cm x2 should be enough I reckon, I already bought and fitted smoked side repeaters/indicators and the orange bulbs are on there way, gave her a good hoover too and finally got down the window seals to get at that nasty greenness that I find so annoying. the fly eye I will fit and picture provided the damned weather stays out of my way! little easy jobs for now, due to getting the new dizzy I am going to stick with the current castor wheels I have, need a rub down and spray though. Funny but on the way back from 'Arrads' I had a little buzz with an A3 and an Alfa, lots of fun that at a screaming 40mph, you can really hear the V-Tec eh! so that was nice, probably shouldn't push her to hard due to current disability but she faired very well. still, plenty more to do........ A share bag of peanut M&Ms today.

The steering rack saga. late one night not so long ago my workplace had a chemical leak, a couple of hgv drivers that were waiting for a load were evacuated from the loading bay and standing about moaning about being hungry, i decided to borrow them my car... Thinking that as they were professional drivers they would know how to drive, immediately i regretted handing over the keys as the driver reversed then shot forward straight over a dividing barrier in the car park, they returned half an hour later, my car stinking of burnt rubber. The next day i go out to my car to find a puddle of fluid, screechy noises on start up and that feeling of impending doom. i take her to the garage where i am told its a pipe that's split, then the seal, then the pipe, quoted just under £400 for the new one inc fitting same day i get a call around 4pm stating it wont be ready but they havre a car for me to borrow over the weekend, this turned out to be the mechanics car, child seat fitted, bald tyres and a smell only a mother could love, ther next morning i took the loaner back ready to give the garage what for, on my arrival i find my car sitting happily in the car park, fixed and with a free oil change. i learned 2 lessons from this 1. Never trust anyone 2. Always sneak up your garage when they least expect it.

indeed the Twix was a well earned bit of day time sugar rush, i think they should come free with parts
-
I will put pics of the whole car once i get a nice day in which to fully show the beauty of the beast...

Ah HA! on the laptop and I can Quote!!! Thats the plan, right now to get some pictures
-
I'd quote you but that's not working for me either, must be the P.C, going to try the laptop see if that sorts it, Yeah I broke those clips on the grill and the other fitments, my new 'screw removal' tool came in handy for that. at this rate my car will be held together with plastic tie strips and glue I can't get past the huge plastic covering, the 4 screws come out, do I need to remove the license plate? I think I will any way, I would expect its in need of a good pulling off, too dark now to get all banging and swearing blue murder, will leave it till the morning glory.

Indeed that does sound Geekarama, far to complicated for my current brain cell to comprehend, what with my current quandary of a boost or a topic. Day 2. I have de chromed the grille black and pewter on the 'H', de badged the rear end, that was a mission, the last time I did that was on my old Mx3 and she looked better for it, much WD-40 and foamy liquid on that, badges are mostly in tact other than the CIVIC one which seemed to want to fall of, polished up the buff and we are done with that, need to remove the rear tailgate chrome but having removed the 4 screws and grab handle it won't seem to budge, with my luck of late I will end up breaking something so I figure I will mask off the area and spray where it sits. I have put off the fuel pump until I have a day when I don't need to use it, safer that way, I can only think that a ball of fire is a grand way to go, but not today. had a Twix. Tomorrow, front bumper removal! Expect crying and gnashing of teeth......

what's a CCNA?

I seek the light that only an ungrateful much loved vehicle can bring, the power to surge through traffic without wondering if the engine will cut out, the hope that I will make it to my destination under my own steam and not that of Green Flag recovery services, I seek hope and wonderment in the day that the other half does not cut off my wedding vegetables when finding yet another receipt for my fancy, not much to ask eh? I have the next few weeks of enforced holiday, didn't know I had the time off until I was told to use it or loose it.
-
I see, well then, it looks like I will be digging deep into the lint of my corduroys this very day.... this makes me woeful, but still... marvellous day for it!
-
sweet, that'll do for me then. so now the smaller engines? no matter what the size run the same internal parts? I only ask as there are many a yard of angry men chasing away those of us looking through the chain linked fence at our precious, on Saturday gone I was up in Smethwick, I swear the guy there must spend all day running around his yard with a broom chasing away part hunters, quiet the sport!
-
Good day to my fellow folk, before I begin on my next perilous endeavour I thought it prudent to take a quick gander at the 'Most helpful list ever' Splendid bit of work there by the way, I noted that all the engine parts on the D series engine are interchangeable, now does this mean even though I have a 1.6 V-Tec a 1.8 V-Tec part will fit? We all know where this is going due to yesterdays Panic stricken palaver, Will any old dizzy do? I found several 1.4s that look exactly the same you see.. and 1.8s but 1.6 is really expensive.... Anger and bilious outrage at my lack of searching on the subject accepted and gratefully received....

And the prize for most innovative tool end goes too...ME! okay so here's what I did, I took the current Rotor and the contact on the end I gently sanded with fine grit, then sprayed electrical cleaner on a lint free cloth and rubbed that beast shiny, had a look at the contacts in the cap as well, I only tapped the things and white powder fell off so I did the same with those as well, I have then re assembled the unit and O ringed tight as can be, added some super dooper glue and turned that key! she lives, she rides! she'll do till I can get it properly sorted! the drill bit removal set was utter cows warmness and I could do with a smaller cordless, raining now till tomorrow then, the adventure continues with....................FUEL PUMP change MAYHEM! MAYHEM! MEYHEM! I would upload pictures of my long adventure but when I right click to paste I get every option but paste, I have allowed access to numerous clipboards to no avail, still imagine if you will the self congratulations that she is again, running like a dream...for now...
