  1. Match the callipers to the red rings and centre caps, might blend better..
  2. Whoever thought this up had way to much time to waste and must had been riding a perfect engine to want to try and improve it further, surely if you want to lighten and increase relative revs straight to the limit you just keep your foot down and wait for the bwaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!
  3. i actually gave that thought when i got the 'put your phone away'line just now....too late. Looking forward to day 8. Have a good evening y'all!
  4. LOL, you tell her....no shes been waiting for a Copthorne special for a while now, need to earn some brownie points for certain items i have yet to acquire.
  5. very good, so for less than the cost of a three course meal i am supposed to be going to shortly, now i need a good excuse to get out of it...
  6. While i am at it, you know those springs thatll either kill you or the handling, think Hubert had them on his deck, are the really that bad? They are soooo cheap, i know you'll say you get what you pay for but I found some panthers for 109.. Figure they would be as bad or good or whatever... What's the deal with these things? If i buy say seat ibiza coils why would they not fit say an Astra? There's more of this bilge so hold tight and keep your arms inside the deck...
  7. I am currently lug nut admiring but have come across a question, if you use lug nuts do you need to use the converters from tewiga? (can't remember the spelling) they ad states that if you have spacers you'd need them and if you have standard wheels due to the tapering? This must be right? Right? Or not?
  8. LMAO, then i am not alone, thanks Mr Brown. Oh but the shame! Still gonna hide in my fort of pillows, possibly throw faeces at the Mrs in some child like rage..
  9. Morning! Day 7 ( missed 6 d**king about) As you may or may not have noticed the 3 main things that improve a deck have yet to happen, much of it is financial, paying near £700 for lower suspension, £400 for an exhaust system and the other thing, body kit? well they are all seemingly in the pipeline, the suspension alone is worth more than the car if I sold it, to me its worth a lot more as its my daily. Things will be done to get her proper, little tweaks that should bring the engine and the other important parts up to snuff, I think I had the idea that slamming on spoilers and new springs would somehow cure a problem that had nothing to do with the issues that existed. So now I save and tweak and save, going be a long road. Yesterday I was waiting outside the other halves work place, as usual she was running late so I am sat there listening to a bit of Classic FM covered in unspeakable juices, hat in situ and several days fuzz on the chin. A small group of teenagers walked past the Deck Mobile and then looked back, I am Mr Smug, thinking that the de chroming and all the other little things had attracted the kind of attention one seeks when making ones cars look mean and aggressive, one of them started towards the car, giddy with excitement at the proposition of receiving praise for my hard work his knuckle wrapped at the passenger window, gleefully I held down the passenger window switch, blasting the youth with Vivaldi, our eyes met, and he asked one of the most devastating questions I have ever been in receipt of: ' are you Shanes dad?' gutted...........I am in hiding.............
  10. rover made something that could master traffic! Good god! What has happened to the world? Is it a car?
  11. that's fookin awful, turtle wax (i think) do a lip stick style wax with their polish to fill that until you can proper sort it.
  12. remember that syphilis wont become apparent until you have grandchildren and they have gappier teeth than Madonna.sheath that badboy!
  13. what's the red back lit clock from? Looks much better than the calculator special that's standard fit.
  14. hmmmmmmmmmm, I see You tube vids with much advice regarding them being copper, still if its just crush washers then its off to Wilkinson stores in the morning for a good old rummage in their trays of many things.
  15. after putting the flyeye on i can't see any dulling on the lights which is nice
  16. crackin bit of advice, why is it supposed to be copper rings?
  17. Sweet! ta muchly, rear wiper arm now in progress, losing the light now but will see how we go.....
  18. engine bay, needs more work than i can do to it right now...
  19. doing wiper arms as we speak, the chrome is a pain as I need to remove the huge piece of plastic inside the tailgate, I remove the bolts but the little fecker won't move.
  20. so should I fly the other or is it a bit too dark, a purist would tug his beard and mount a heavy set ottoman at the sight of darkened rear lights, I am unsure if it makes it too chavtastic?
  21. nope, wont bother telling you were i got it, you can probably guess...
  22. She's very shiny, I love giving a good rubbing down and seeing shininess in the morning! Splendid work.
  23. Thank you all for your kind comments, I would like to thank, Wilkinson stores for their paint, Asda for their tireless support in plastering my boo boos, and my other half for who, without which I'd have had the job done in half the time, thank you. Day 5 Good morning Steers and ladies, Today I have a couple of minor jobs to do, replacing the side indicator bulbs with the orange ones that arrived this morning, and getting all Blue Peter and the back end in some collage crazy rear light fly eye (if the gate or post box gives me what I need) covering circus, the results of which I will post, now, I have a slight issue with my lack of enthusiasm in fitting the fuel filter, really want to do this and keep reading the how to and the importance of washers, if I reuse the washers that are on the filter is this an issue? are we talking 'best practise' here or safety? awesome then! Enjoy your days FIVERS!
