Supporting mods are 62mm (I think) Dc2 throttle body, PW JDM intake, 2.25" mani/decat/exhaust and a p28 mapped on chrome with Vtec coming in at 5.1K and a redline set at 8.5k. If there is a difference in performance it is very minimal, but when speaking to Scott from Htune I was given the impression there should be very noticeable changes with the C4 when going with an aftermarket manifold.
Does anyone who has one fitted have a picture so I can make sure all the pipes are routed to the right location? When I let off the accelerator at high revs there is a big ptsh kind of noise which sounds like air is being purged and under acceleration there is a whistle. Just wondering whether its been fit wrong.
Thanks.

Hello, any owners on here running a Skunk2 or Blox IM on their C4? I've just fitted mine and it has a map to suit but in all honesty it feels slower than with the stock mani?? I'm not sure whether this is a placebo effect because I've potentially got more torque and power throughout the rev range because there is definitely less of a kick when vtec comes in now.

Mega shame to hear you're selling up but the Accord is a beast. For 2k though, this is a steal and I have a mate who would gladly take it off your hands.

How's the oil mate and does the overflow bottle empty? Could both contribute to it
-
Agreed with Dr_broon, I'm running Chinese bulbs right now and from the outside they look great but there is no illumination on the road whatsover.

Don't know about their manifolds but the decat I got off them is top quality

Same with the Hondas mate, MB6 has 169 at the fly

Hey dude a friend of mine has a boosted eg with a d13 and he's using an ebay kit. From what he's told me, they're ok as long as you fit some type of heavy duty seals to the turbo or something? Apparently they get really hot and don't have adequate cooling but once you sort that out they work nicely.

Wrote a long post but I hit back and lost it all
Long story short, parts have arrived except from the pistons and mounts which I'm still waiting on. Nothing apart from discs, pads, fluid and gbox have been fitted yet, but I've finally got the FN so work will be commencing soon. Fitted a '96 S80 which is the 2nd best mod I've done to the car after the Meisters. Mahoooosive difference! My FN2 has a Tegiwa mani, exhaust, S2 CAI and custom flashpro map and is dyno'd at 228HP and the MB will see it off without any issues. Nightmare at 70mph though, sat at about 5k rpm Got in contact with Fibreworx so they'll be making some CF DC2 style fog inserts for the MB soon, so if you're interested in them keep a look out on their website. Family member has got an FK2 Type R on order as well, so managed to jump in for the test drive. What a beast. Oh and the AC has been stripped, weighed in at around 2 1/2 stone

Couple of wee updates on this
Managed to snag my uncles fn2 at the start of this month which meant the old Mb has been stuck in the garage for the past few weeks but funnily enough I Got a call at work the other day from a friend over on civiclife telling me that Tegiwa now offer finance on their stuff at a good rate.
Now the plan was to either sell the mb6 and use the money from it to get stuff for the fn2 or keep both and use the mb as a track and occasional weekend/meet car. Looks like Tegiwa made the choice for me
So after a good few hours of research with my mechanic mate, the following was ordered :
Sk2 pro series intake mani
Sk2 alpha exhaust mani
Sk2 valve springs and ti retainers
Wiseco b18 pistons
Sk2 con rods
Sk2 stage 2 tuner cams
Sk2 Valve stem seals
Sk2 comp fuel rail
Gates low temp thermo
Sk2 66m tb
Sk2 dc2 full length rad and fan
Sk2 rad hose kit
Oem head gasket and engine top gasket kit
Tegiwa baffle kit
Innovative billet mounts
Tegiwa torque damper
Ferrera valve guides
D2 oil catch can kit
Arp head studs and main studs
Oem oil pump
Oem dizzy
And then separately I've gone for ds2500 pads front and back and then stoptech grooved up front and Oem disks on the back and nearer the time I might go for a set of track tyres depending on the condition of the ps3s on there now.
I'm also really interested in seeing if any body shops can fabricate air duct fog inserts like you can get for the dc2 and eg etc
Im going to strip away the sound deadening stuff that's like tar, but apart from that the interior will be left alone, bar swapping out the front seats
Parts should be here with 2 days and up to 3 weeks depending on availability. I only have Sunday off so working on it is going to be a pain, but at least I won't have to rush it and make sure I do it properly.
Also on the hunt for a 98 spec s80 if anyone has one let me know

Mate, that crossover is the stuff of b18c4 owners dreams haha! Sounds mental man and the car looks very, very cool

Up at Snakes Pass the other day, friend of mine snapped a couple of quick pics.

Awesome car bro, quite simply the best M front end ever!!

Thanks krzy! I kept looking over for you but the ep was too far in front, nice to meet you either way

Savage car mate, looks absolutely stunning as well!

Thanks a lot matey, appreciate it! Yours was a stunner as well, best colour by far

Looks amazing man, have to say I preferred the wheels when they were white but I have a feeling if I saw it rolling past I'd prefer the black wheels. Didn't like the ATR spoiler on these at first but when it's dropped and looks as mean as yours they suit it perfectly

Not updated this in a while but I have been doing a few things
Got the car setup at Tdi North with their fast road setup and it went from being wow to being seriously wow. Honestly, if you've got adjustable shiny bits on your M and your debating whether to get it setup by someone don't even wait. Forget about tyre wear, it takes the handling and planted feel to a whole 'nother level.
Secondly, I went a bit mental with the spray can and did everything bar the one thing I actually wanted to do which was the chrome strip I sprayed the front fog covers, strut bar, plug cover, I mean I got so bored I sprayed my 6x9 speaker surrounds Pirates black -.-.
Finally, I'm at a kind of crossroads with the old MB6. On the one hand, I fookin' love it when I'm nailing the bits off it, it's a seriously good handling car in my opinion. On the other hand, when driving normally, the wheel/tyre combo and suspension make it a very hard to just cruise with. Because of this, and the fact I've got a full time job whilst being off Uni, I'm debating whether I put it back to standard then sell the car and parts and just buy my uncles FN2 for cheap and do that one up. Or whether I should say fook it and just boost it and take out the interior and just keep it as a track car and buy something cheapish like the Accord Sports.

Mine has oil in the exact same position mate but I haven't had any real HG symptoms yet. The car doesn't use any oil, doesn't overheat but it does use water and it's gotten pretty smokey at idle but I'm attributing that to the recent cold weather and straight through exhaust. I think it'll probably just be the rocker gasket mate, and I did read before that it could be the Vtec Solenoid leaking a bit.

Super Kink to the rescue ! I'll give it a go now mate. One last question, the front fog fuse keeps blowing for some reason, as soon as I turn the fog switch on. I am using the normal 15A fuse, but it literally blows the second I turn it on. Any idea what's causing it?

The 3 screws are rusted to hell and I'm just rounding them now, anyone got any tips on how to change the bulb? Don't wanna throw them away to be fair as they're in top condition.
Cheers guys

Yeah mate, 99% sure it acts as a resonator to reduce noise. You can chop it off and stick a bottle lid in there and then put a jubi clamp on it

Oooh, so 3 point ones do make a difference? Love the way it looks on yours

Haha, the map is a H-tune base one so I'm thinking maybe it's time to take the plunge and spend on a proper map. Thanks for the helps boys, much appreciated.
@noodels how are the Skunk 2 tuner 1 cams matey? Are they ok for a DD troquewise? As Krzy said, the car has very little torque low down now and I don't want to make that worse if I can help it
