  1. Hi guys, I've picked up a PLM 2.5" exhaust manifold and wondered whether the flange will connect to my 2 1/4" decat or will I need to weld a 2.5" flange on? I'd take it off the car, but it's a lot of faff if it's not going to fit.

  2. Hi guys, today I swapped my throttle body to a UK DC2 one which doesn't have the nipple to connect the EVAP hose which usually connects to the top of the tb. Would this cause a hunting idle and if so, is there anywhere else I can plumb this into?

  3. DC2 tb's for the win! I don't think the MB cable will fit because of how short it is and the DC2 one pulls the opposite way so I don't think there is enough play in there. When I fit mine I ordered an EK Bseries cable and bracket from H-Tune, think it was 35 quid in total but then you have a brand new cable :D

  4. It depends what you're after mate. The C4 has more power and tq standard as well as having a higher ceiling to do mods on because of the displacement. What you want to bear in mind is that the A2 only feels quicker because it makes awful power below vtec so it kicks in really hard. The end goal for properly tuned motors is not to even feel a vtec crossover because at that point your car is entering vtec just as the high cam starts making more power than the low cam. For noise, everyone above has got it bang on.

  5. I believe a member on here called Blames-VTI recovered his rear bench with the ATR seat cover? My plan is to get the black door cards and then run black DC2 front Recaros and the leather rear bench.

  6. Quick little addition, when you fit the Sk2 IM with the stock C4 throttle body, the throttle cable will rub on the bonnet when letting off the accelerator at full throttle. Best to get a new TB when fitting an aftermarket IM. Best to get cams at the same time as the IM as well to get the most out of it.

  7. The MB6 is doing some really weird and quite frankly scary stuff at the minute. Basically, the handbrake cables are shot and don't hold the car so I leave it in 2nd gear. Parked the other day at Uni, come back to see massive blocks of wood under the car and at first I'm p**sed off because I think someone is taking the p**s. I pull em out, open the door and the car starts kangarooing down this hill. What the hell is going on?? Only started this very recently, does it on my drive now as well and it's not a massive incline.

(Handbrake cables are on the way from Euro)

  8. Little update, the list above was cut by about a half and some of the more expensive stuff ended up going back. I initially wanted to play with it myself but couldn't bring myself to take the plunge with some of the internal work incase I f**k it up and lose all the money i've put into the engine. The car had the gasket kit fitted, the valve guides and seals, the gates thermo and rad + hoses fitted. Used to burn a bit of oil and lose a bit of water (turned out to be a hairline crack in the bottom of the water bottle). All is fine now though and after initially feeling as though the IM wasn't doing much I pulled the battery and ran it for a bit it pulls so much harder after 6k. It's most noticble in 4th gear now as the S80 used to chew through the first 3 gears but now 4th revs up really quick as well.

This may seem a bit weird and/or controversial but it feels more of a drivers car than my FN2 which is now sat on meisters as well. Everything just feels that bit heavier and planted. Here is a little sound clip I took on my phone the other night, not the best quality and the mic makes it sound a bit raspier than it i. I'll try and get a gopro video of it soon (it's a national road so no laws were broken)

  9. hello pal, car looks mint, the engine bay is a real inspiration! Is there any chance you could take a picture of your vacuum lines from your intake manifold so i can see where the pipes go? also, does your throttle cable catch on the bonnet at all? mine seems to rub on it when lifting off at high rpm
