  1. Speed bumps arent that bad in all fairness if taken at an angle, slowly. The only ones I'd have an issue with are the square ones if I was unable to drive through the middle of them. Matt
  2. It's pretty much just the de-cat pipe running along the floor, I'm going to get a straight through pipe fitted as opposed to the 'test pipe' currently fitted, should sort out 99% of the scraping issues. Matt
  3. Got the splitter fitted properly today and the ATS Cups on Not much ground clearance! With a mates 45 And a couple of pics taken on a potato Going from standard civic steelies to the cups, running 165/50R15 front and 195/45R15 rears, has lost me a bit of ground clearance, which means plenty of this: Matt
  4. Little update, picked up a VTI lip yesterday, not sure whether to leave it black or paint it. Also picked up some ATS Cups, will be fitting them once I've had them balanced. Matt
  5. Brilliant! Just needs slamming on its arse now!
  6. I did have to return home with it in the middle of the night though although I did stick it in neutral and coast down my road. I would leave it unsilenced, but I had enough of a problem with neighbours and my old Polo and that was still running a cat! Did have the police round at one point when I was driving that shed Matt
  7. You really dont Yes it sounds awesome when you boot it, but at constant throttle it was just a drone. Had to drive to Halfords the next day for an exhaust clamp, the looks I got 4th gear at 30mph and it was still anti-socially loud! Matt
  8. Borrowed a mates inspection pit to adjust my exhaust and also find a slight blow. I think I found it Also, droopy undertray + reversing on gravel driveway = oops Matt
  9. Coilies fitted with the use of the supplied washers. Nice shiney parts arrived today Matt
  10. So, not really much of an update at the moment. Ordered some D2 Racing rear camber arms in preparation for wheels. Wheels sadly not ordered yet as work have screwed my pay up Another thing, Sportex centre pipe fell apart. At 2am. In the rain. Was not fun removing backbox and the rear section of the pipe, but It did make a good noise on the way home! (Volume warning!) Matt
  11. No update as such, just a few more photos with a mates silly low Rovers. I need to go lower! Matt
  12. Wheels are 15's, nothing special done to the coilovers to go that low, just bolted them on. Still got some thread left on the fronts and over an inch left on the rears, will probably make use of that when I have a more suitable de-cat pipe As for wheels, I want a staggered set of 8J and 9J cups ideally, or perhaps Klutch SL1's or Watercooled IND CC10's. Whatever happens, I will probably end up spending more on wheels than I spent on buying the car! As for it being low, I dont have too many problems Matt
  13. I'd say a bit like bouncing up and down on a pogo stick on a bouncy castle... but I expected that anyway. Also tried on my mates wheels on again, the same as the massive archgap picture, they fit a lot better now! And a little sticker was added after giving her a clean Matt
  14. Didnt realise quite how low I'd gone until i parked next to a standard MX5 Matt
  15. Cheers for the opinions guys! I bought these cheap ebay coilies. Now to get saving for some wheels. Matt
  16. Got the coilies fitted, went a little too low as the decat is dragging along the road far too often. Going to have to raise it for a while until I get a better de-cat Mid progress shot And completed Matt
  17. Its not the length thats the problem, its the fact that when everything is bolted up, the captive nut is underneath the car, so with the sensor plugged in it'll be between the de-cat and the pipe. I'm going to extend the wiring and put it into the bottom section of the 4-2-1 manifold, hopefully that'll work.
  18. Cheers for the help guys, got the sensor back together in the end, only to find the only way to have the cat left the captive nuts beneath the system. Looks like its no sensor and engine warning light for a while til a plan can be hatched Matt
  19. Meant the four wires, they've fallen out the plug :/ took to halfords to look in a Haynes manual but couldn't see anything. Nope, wires aren't colour matched.
  20. Help. Changing exhaust and this plug that plugs into the rear of the cat has fallen out. Which way round does it go? Cheers Matt
  21. Yeh, all good fun though! Got a meet for the whole of sunday which includes driving pretty much the entire length of the A272, should be a good test of how well the coilovers improve the handling. Matt
  22. Lovely Mr UPS delivered my coilovers today Just gotta collect my centre pipe and then I have everything here to fit this Saturday. Matt
  23. I'm not a massive fan of huge tail-pipes, but I wanted something as antisocial as my old polo was. Plus it being considerably cheaper than a universal backbox helped, I have other toys to buy aswell Matt
  24. Having owned this for nearly 4 months now, I thought I'd start a project thread. Sat on a friends wheels... with comical arch-gap! Stance is pretty good though, so I atleast know roughly what offset to go for when buying wheels, these were 7J ET25 Ordered a few bits recently, will be fitting these next week along with the stainless 4-2-1 manifold I was given. Plans for the future are wheels, possibly Klutch SL1's, decent coilovers at some point and a full respray. Matt
