hondasport
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to upgrade the b18c4 im. Maybe something like port polishing or other stuff. And can you install a bigger throttle body on the stock im? And maybe portmatch it? I don't want to buy a aftermarket im, just want to know if it's possible to make the stock im better. Krzys
You should be able to have it ported and polished, I'm not sure what you would gain from it if anything. It might only be a couple of BHP which probably won't be cost effective and you'd ideally want to remap the car to utilise any gains too which is more money.
hondasport
mapping is the next on my list . Should you know if you can use another trothle body on the stock manifold?
KiNK43
Some results on Google about removing the butterfly section. That would cause far less resistance through the manifold.
Krzys
mapping is the next on my list . Should you know if you can use another trothle body on the stock manifold? You probably can change the throttle body but lately I keep reading a lot of people saying they're aren't worth doing, too much money for 1 or 2 bhp. KiNK43
1 or 2 hp maybe. But I love my 70mm throttle. Transforms how responsive the engine Is mid way through the Rev range.
hondasport
okay, thanks. I would keep the butterflies and the throttlebody, but polish the manifold.
