james
thats a good idea, i was thinking the same thing, there is no plastic to melt on the spotlights only on the headlights so your safe

As people say they have had problemsOk cool, I think the 55watt HID are the ones that cause the problem with headlights.Only reason im worried about HID in the fogs is that they are really small compared to the headlights. ryan..
i thought about this not long ago. A few things went through my mind.1. HID bulbs seem to be longer than standard bulbs. The MB6 fogs dont have much room for the actual bulb unless its perfect H3 length2. How are you going to wire it up? The standard bulbs use spade connectors to attach to the loom inside the fog light housing then the cable goes through a tiny hole to a plastic plug which plugs into the loom behind the bumper. I've used a H4 HID kit and there is no way you'd get the cables through the hole in the metal of the fog light housing. You'd have to drill out a much bigger hole and fit a gromit to stop water getting in. If you can do it then my hat goes off to you but imo its not do-able
Aky
Glad you pointed it out Ryan, didnt think about that.Well just checked, and stock bulb is around 26mm (bit thats inserted) and HID is 31mm :SThe wiring shouldnt be much of a problem, will need abit of drilling and sealing up.Need to find an old HID H3 bulb and try and get it to fit before anything else.
