aslong as the wire doesnt touch the body the alarm should think the bonnet is closed !

the wire should be an earth ?

as for the boot sensore it should run either side ov the boot latch (two black box's)!!XXXXXXXXXXXXXX

ok my bad the boot switch is in the catch !!

but wouldnt that wire complete the circuit telling the alarm the bonnet is shut

best thing to do is check the wire with an ohms meter (continuisity) try with alarm armed then diss armed !

if it is an earth then try to connect it to the body earth and try ur alarm again ?

under the bonnet on the passengers side theres a fuse box take the lid off

and its a 7.5 amp fuse (brown) in the centre closest to the bulk head .

is the radio genuin or a pop off front ? (after market)

May just be the battery on the way out. So the alarm power is getting lower!

Get your multimeter on it :) When ignition off, I'd expect a good battery to have 13-14V of power....

When engine is running, alternator should be pushing out minimum of 14V too, put multimeter on battery terminals when the engine is running!
