wot do you mean by oil pump ?

the crank pump or the power steering pump ?

im thinking about taking the a/c belt off as it doesnt work and dont use it anyway !

plus the pully weighs next to nothing !!!

  • 2 weeks later...

ok finally the tegiwa pully came today :D

fitted it earlyer and had to put my own timming marks on it and change the belts

as the standerd belts were to big with the pully been smaller !!

been out in her tonight and niticed the revs ar more responsive and yes feels like more power

but havnt tried it properly yet :D

you can notice it more on uptake from idle more instantanias 8-)

one bloke on a forum im a member of fitted a pulley like that.

because the pulley is solid and has no vibration dampening it snapped his crank while on a race.

a lot of these are not properly balanced.

how can it snap a crank blimey its only turning the alternator power steering and air con surely the the fly wheel side is the most stressed part???

because the stock crank pulley has a damper built into it. a rubber piece if you will that stops vibration through the crank.

its called harmonics. if you look for a top notch aftermarket pulley you will see the difference. i.e fluid ampar's i think one brand is.

those alloy ones dont deal with the vibration. next time you get chance have a look at your stock pulley
