its a shield of some sort,

think its either the exhaust cat shield, or the driveshaft heatshield.

maybe even the i-vtec cover making the noise.

or your exhaust could have a blow or the airbox has the hondata mod?

list is endless lol

What's the Hondata mod mate?

Yup..... Thats been done.... BADLY TOO! Obviously cut too deeply, so there's a few mm gap!

I'll get the silicone out, see if it fixes it :)

So Dave, rolling start, say 10 mph, accelerating hard in 1st, (not full throttle to make the wheels spin) VTEC kicks in, do you keep traction on a dry road??? I can't! Just not enough grip! Running Potenza's too, they are crap, but should be rated enough for stock power! Stick it into 2nd and bounces the limiter, and bounces the wheels off the floor!

Yea i think i do keep traction to be honest. My tyres are only a couple of months old though and im running on toyo T1R's. I'll try it tomorrow as my car is at work for the night. I know my wheels light up if there is any sort of moisture on the roads but they might spin a bit when hitting VTEC in the dry. I really cant think if it does or not. The wheels are too easy to spin in the dry let alone the wet

As for that mod i would try and seal it up a bit i will almost guarantee thats your noise. Not sure if it gains on performance as i havent read into it enough but that could be why you say it feels quicker than your previous one.

just an input, my mates ep had an s/s exhaust on, and at the same rev's his used to rattle ever so slightly somewhere in the middle..

Another thought is that i noticed it didnt have air con?? Again my mates did come with air con and we took it out our selves, there was something left under the dash when we took it all out that rattled??

I know the potenza is HOPELESS in the wet, but I've not had any issue in the dry before. It's mad though, first gear, roll start pull away quickly but intently, and wheels spin 6-8k, then fast gear change and the limiter bounces till top end of 2nd. Almost makes it too hard to pull away fast! Motorway sliproads are mad fun though, 1st - 2nd is touch and go, but 2nd - 3rd and your off!

Barring the airbox mod, the car is standard as far as I know, so I wouldn't expect it to be over 1hp than standard!

In the wet, I can get to 2nd gear without hardly moving the car :)

Noodels, you're the first person I've ever heard call an EP3 soft :)

It's more of an induction drone / exhaust blow noise, when you drop the gauges back you can have a listen ;)
